One Night Stand: William Bodie

Ah Bodie, imminently fuckable but I'm certain I couldn't put up with his period typical misogyny. I feel like we probably slept together that one time for a case. Like we were what was supposed to be a quick in and out covert op, searching the manor house of some obnoxiously rich arms dealer under the guise of being guests at a ball. I was already pissed off about having to wear fucking heels, not helped by almost getting caught and having to do the classic 'oh don't mind us, we're just horny and making out in this secluded corridor' thing, which like... Wasn't unpleasant but he looked so smug about it afterwards it kind of spoiled it. Anyway, long story short, we totally got locked in one of the guest rooms for the night and, well, might as well. Not like there was much else to do.

Vanilla Fuckbuddy: Qing Ming

It's not that I don't think he's kinky, it's just that we're necessarily compatible in that regard. I'm invoking what I have now dubbed the 'Namjoon Clause'. In other words, would love to see it but it only gets like d/s kinky if be tag team someone. Anyway. I had a demon problem, sent for some help and just like that I suddenly had whole different problem. Mainly, Qing Ming being irresistably charming with his retinue of pretty servants and Bo Ya glowering at me for reasons that are both incredibly amusing and incredibly entertaining. I could stop sleeping with Qing Ming but honestly, I deserve a treat after all those demons, and in the long run I'm hoping the whole thing will provoke Bo Ya into a confession and I want to be there to see it.

Well, here is a man with enough issues for an annual subscription, starting with the good old catholic guilt and ending somewhere in his fluid sexuality. And if he chooses to work through them on his knees, begging to be hurt, then it my privilege and pleasure to do that in a way that doesn't push him further into self-flagellation and includes strict orders to get and book himself into some actual therapy. Anyway, I assume we met because I was doing some research and he's the forces default liaison with them academics, and then, after the study was done and published we, uh, kept liaising?

Jaws - Danny/Steve, shapeshifter AU. This is such an awesome piece of crack fic that actually starts to build some really interesting mythology about this version of shifters... Would have happily read a lot more in the 'verse.

Let's Dance Like We Used To - Danny/Steve. Rachel and Stan move back to the mainland, taking Grace with them. And where Grace goes, Danny goes. And, it turns out that where Danny goes, Steve goes. Eventually. Oh, oh, my heart, just the warmth and family feeling of this toward the end, my heart expanded at least three sizes. Wonderful read.

Sounds Like Love - Danny/Steve. Ngl, I could read a thousand of these 'undercover as a couple' fics and not get bored. Mmm ust.

Sugar Rush - Danny/Steve. N'aaww this is such a cute little story. Includes chocolate pastry. Delicious!

We Believe in the Sum of Ourselves - Danny/Steve. Coda for 1.16. Danny is a little worked up and Steve has problems compartmentalising. Ranting and hot sex :D

Psych

Concatenation - Gus/Shawn. This is, I think, hands down, my favourite fic for this pairing. Possibly because it matches so well my own take on the dynamic... Because of course this is something Shawn needs and of course he would go looking for it in the wrong places at times. Gus' pov is perfect; patience, uncertainty and sense inevitability and rightness.

Sherlock

Let You Kiss Me (So Sweet and So Soft) - John/Sherlock. Sherlock keeps kissing John, who is not entirely sure as to why. This is a lovely story with good characterisation, especially when it comes to Sherlock's plans and reasoning.

The Velveteen Doctor - John/Sherlock. Gradually, John becomes real for Sherlock. Such a lovely premise and even lovelier execution. Includes one of the best first kiss scenes I've read in a long time. Gorgeous piece.

The Professionals

Wolfkammer - Bodie/Doyle. I actually have a feeling I've recced this already but I can't find the post on my lj so it's likely that I did that only in my head. Anyway. This is a fascinating casefic with a supernatural element and a well researched locale. Bodie and Doyle are sent to Germany to consult on an unusual case and whilst there end up dealing with some personal revelations... Thoroughly enjoyable.

The Spell - Bodie/Doyle. An entirely charming tale full of arms dealers and self-analysis and just a little bit of magic...
