Firstly, I am verklempt over the lovely comments on my Holiday Meme tread. I also definitely know who some of the people responsible but to protect them from having to openly discuss icky feelings I'm going to pretend I don't.

Secondly, after at least a couple of years of not having energy for these things, I have signed up for

fandomtrees. You can find my extensive list of fandom requests here. I honestly could have continued for much longer but had to cut it off somewhere so we have: Guardian, Guardian RPF, Harry Potter, Good Omens, BTS (sigh, I know), MCR, FOB, PATD, Start Trek AOS, Grimm, MCU and Witcher. Being multifandom is a gift and a burden.

I've strolled through the entries posted so far and identified some with tempting prompts... And have about 1k for one of them at the moment, whoo writing!

Thirdly...

We will be starting a read/reread of Book 1. Eye of the World on 1st of December, with initial schedule (to be adjusted if needed!) of roughly book per month. Besides that, any and all fanworks or other content relating to both the book series and the TV adaptation, are welcome on the community.

Phew! I've done lots of writing lately, largely inspired by prompts and fics from

pushkin666,

dreamersdare and

HanHathma and also by Zhao Yunlan's oral fixation. There was also the

chocolateboxcomm fic that got done by the deadline so yay. Posted stuff is on my AO3 already but over the next week or so I will very likely post here as well , because I still like having the fics on my journal too even though no one really reads or comments on fics here anymore.

All of that means that despite falling very behind on my

getyourwordsout goal I am now only ~200 words away from actually being on track for my overall goal of 150k by the end of the year. At the time of writing this my year total so far is 19,506.

And, here I am, letting you know that you also have an opportunity to make me write even more! My writing services are up for auction at two places, both currently open for viewing with bidding opening next week.

Whilst I have specified some fandoms, the long and short of it is: I am very open to writing in any fandom I either already know or have a reasonable chance in getting familiar with (= access to canon that isn't like 20 seasons long). I am also very open to writing any pairing I've already written and very willing to try others. It's not quite a blanket 'anything goes' as I have some caveats but please, do ask. Also, any ratings, most kinks and most genres. Essentially, if it's not in my 'hard limits' list, then it's probably negotiable ;)

Yep, yep, the pain fades fast. I have just signed up for

fandomtrumpshate again. I both upped my bid to min $15 and ticked the 10-20k box because let's face it, the fic is going to end up there anyway. This year I'll be offering are Good Omens, Guardian and Harry Potter. As usual though, I am open to discuss any other fandoms too as long as I know the canon or have a reasonable chance to familiarise myself with it.

The sign-ups are open until 31st of Jan, and you can browse the bids from 17th of Feb. The actual bidding period is short and intense, 24th-28th of Feb. Check the community for details! I'll link to my offer once it goes up in case you are interested in bidding.

However! I also really wanted to boost the project the community mods are doing: Boosting Fan Labour, i.e. beta reading (and equivalent to vids, art etc), expertise offered in e.g. cultural or professional knowhow, translations...

Check the link for all the details but I thought this was a really cool and worthwhile effort! They are looking for testimonials from fan labourers and those who have benefitted from their efforts, so maybe consider doing that (shout out to my two most recent betas

fledge and

dreamersdare here!). In addition, they are setting up a 'Regiment of Fan Labourers' to support the FTH writers mostly, where people can donate to the charities listed in exchange for help. You can sign up for that if you don't want to/can't offer fanworks!
