• Reasons why my new (is she still “new” when she’s been living here for 2 months?) housemate is awesome: 1) yesterday we played text tag while she was upstairs and I was downstairs. With Rocky Horror quotes. 2) We both know the words to Aqua’s Barbie Girl. Sometimes we sing it. Life is plastic, it’s fantastic, ooh-ooh-ooh -ooh. 3) Tonight we’re celebrating the return of House M.D. (hi Hugh!) and she’s cooking and bringing wine. The reason she gave me was this: “you’ve been down lately and you shouldn’t be down, because you’re usually such a cheery, funky person to be around”. You guys, I lucked out with this one.

• My baby goddaughter has long toes and fingers. I want photos so bad.

• I’ll be observing the LJ content strike tomorrow. I’m cynical enough to think that it won’t do any good, but equally it won’t do me any harm to stay away for 24 hours. See you on Saturday.

• Ugh, I’ve been coughing the last two-three nights and sleeping lousily. As a consequence my voice has gone all phone-sex husky so if anyone wanted to make a booty call, now would be a good time to do it. Get your money’s worth. 

• I have a hat that apparently makes me look like a 16-year-old jailbait!Patrick. Expect my mouth isn’t nearly

• When did I become the kind of person who recognises half of the bands mentioned on Kerrang! or NME? I never used to.

• Anyway, yesterday I was skim reading the Panic article on NME when this line caught my eye: “back stage Brendon was dancing topless to The Doors’ Touch Me.” o_O Where’s the video??

• After Brendon came out as bi in Manchester, he’s apparently no longer allowed to do the intro to Lying Is The Most Fun.  I find this very interesting. Did Ryan put his foot down? Literally? Mmmm… dirtywrong mental pictures.

• I still haven’t heard. Pretty. Odd. I’m holding out.

• pushkin666 wrote me some amazing birthday drabbles: Hips (FOB, Patrick/Pete), Trains (PATD, Jon/Spencer), Thursday (LoM, Gene/Sam), Darkness (SPN, Sam/Dean), and Wingfic Extract (original). Go read now, especially Hips and Trains, because nngghhh *squirms*

• Ever since the Panic gig I’ve been flailing about wanting a fic about the boys on Canal Street. It turns out that if you flail at the right person and provide some prompts (spanking \o/) they go and write almost 6000 words of AU where Ryan is a rent boy who gets an offer he can’t refuse. Searing hot and hitting so many of my kinks on the way. Go read sateenmusta’s Too Good to Hurt (Ryan/Brendon)

• There should be more spanking fic in Bandom. To facilitate this I’ve decided to host Bandom Gets Spanked comment fic meme this Saturday. Be there or no paddling for you.

• Speaking of kinky memes, elle_dritch suggested Alex Suarez: Brutal Top meme, which I think is an excellent idea and should possibly be done over at suarezontop. How many of you would hit that? Um. Well, you know what I mean…
