Happy Shrove Sunday. pushkin666 and I have made Finnish laskiaispulla (shrove buns). Traditional version calls for almond paste with the whipped cream but as I'm not fond of that, we went with strawberry jam which is an entirely acceptable variation. Om nom.

Ooo, very yummy-looking laskiaispulla! I kinda prefer the jam ones myself. :)

For the past ~6 weeks we've had Krapfen here (periaatteessa hillomunkki ja perinteinen täyte tässä osassa maata on ruusunmarjahillo). I'm still wondering if it's a thing that will go away after Shrove Tuesday so we've been eating them enough to tide us over the rest of the year if that is the case. :D
