“It is warm.” Somehow, Spock hadn’t expected the heat to be so close to the one he grew up with on Vulcan. The surprise has caused him to state the obvious.
Were Spock’s companion a Vulcan, it would lower their opinion of him. But Nyota only turns a blinding smile in his direction.
“Do you like it?” She’d picked the destination with his comfort, his pleasure in mind, the deduction so clear it barely deserves to be called that.
“Yes.” Another moot statement. But Nyota is not asking for information. She wants the feeling. For her, he gives it freely.
