There’s a Finnish saying: “Kukas kissan hännän nostais, ellei kissa itse.” It translates roughly to “Who’s going lift the cat’s tail, if not the cat herself?” which seems like an excellent excuse for some self-promotion…

Oh people I have thingies for you, yes indeedy! I have been busy…

• Posting Porny Music! Dirty, nasty songs just for you, go check it out. 

• Squeeing about Connotations!!! OMG people, I’m going! For reals! I’ve sent the registration form and cheque and booked the accommodation! pushkin666 and myself are sharing a cottage, because it’s much cheaper than the hotel. We need two other people to share, so if you think talking about slashy shows and slash-fic writing with meeeeeee (and a lot of other people) 12-14 October in Tynemouth sounds like a fantastic idea, go check out the con website… Sharing the cottage with pushkin666 and yours truly for three nights will only cost £50 plus whatever we spend on food/drinks. *tempts F-list*

• Sorting out the next four Themed Vid Recs of Doom, so you can anticipate a barrage of quality fanvids over the summer. I know a lot of you only d/l vids that are in the fandoms you know/follow, which while understandable, means you miss out on some fabulous stuff. Take a walk on the wild side! You might find something shiny…

• Flailing like a big flaily thing, and making noises that cause bats to change course on five-mile radius, because someone/s *eyes F-list suspiciously* went and nominated four of my stories for a sgdiverse_award. So, Atlantis Santa, Five Things Carson and Rodney Share (and never thought they would), Simple Pleasures, and Unfair are all in the running, and the voting starts on the 15th and lasts until 30th. I’m not telling you this because I want you to go and vote for my stories. No, I’m telling you because you should go and check out all the fantastic stories nominated. sgdiverse_award is for the rarer m/m, f/f, and various three- or moresome slash stories (i.e. no het as main pairing and no McKay/Sheppard) and aims to showcase the best the fandom has to offer in these less-known categories. Go broaden your horizons people!

• Finishing the last two of the meme answers. So, pushkin666 can expect to learn about my version of John Winchester and claudia_writes about hustler!Sam. I will post the answers over the next few days.

• Working on mine and razorxrosary’s new anywhere_road Verse. There’s not much there yet, except the Verse synopsis in the community User Info and FAQs but once we start posting fics, I’ll pimp it to high heaven, because it’s the BEST THING EVER OMG. Seriously. Possibly even better than chocolate.

• Writing fic! Really, really. Who knows, something may even get finished! o_O Currently I have five (yes, I counted: five. *facepalm*) Supernatural fics on the go and other smaller things in a variety of fandoms: SGA, House, Primeval (wtf, entangled_now I blame you), also maybe a little bit about the Doctor, Jack and the mysterious Unicorn… uhm, would anyone want to know more about that?

I’m all squeed out now (too much sugar first thing in the morning – mmmmm… pancakes…). I should possibly go write something suitably angsty and sad. Perhaps that SPN fic for the evil!Sam challenge where Dean has gone quietly crazy and lives imprisoned in a hotel room while the world is burning? Yeeeees… *rubs hands gleefully*

I put my day sick to good use as well - have finally finished one of the SGA stories I stopped writing last year due to flaming!

oh god, I cannot keep up with all your fics! Is the "Your reward..." finally finished? Because tehn I might actualy d/l it to read over the w/e or something...

the evil!Sam fic is about 1000 words now and 2/3 done so... but yes, inspiration struck. Unfortuantely it's not so much about evil!Sam as it is about Dean, but...

Yes, Reward is now definitely finished - 15 chapters of lovely dark fic together with my proof to myself that I can still write crack in the DVD extras!

Yay, looking forward to the EvilSam fic. Even if it is mainly about Dean that can't be bad *g*

i wasn't going to vome back online today but I'M SO GLAD I DID BECAUSE OMG OMG OMG I LOVE YOU/IT/THE VERSE/THE WORLD *keyboard smash* I can't stop looking at it the header!! The colour scheme is exactly what I had in mind, and even the picture is close enough to be eerie. And, er now we need a icon with the pic and the verse name... *wheedles*

heee! I'm glad you like it! The biggest challenge was trying to find a good, useable, high-res picture of a road, honestly. o.O I'll get right on the icon pic. It should only take me a few minutes.

(Also, I've done the cover art for your Wincest mix, but am kind of stuck on the booklet. Shall I just send the cover art along, and forget about the booklet, or shall I give it a few more days and see if inspiration bites? What do you think?)

I think "like" is putting it mildly. I am so seriously excited about this *dances* Even though we'll only get like three readers (from our f-lists cos we blackmailed them) but still!!

There is no hurry with the mix cover or booklet. If you want to keep thinking about it, do, because I wouldn't be able to upload it until next week anyway. Oh, and can you zip the graphics when you send them, just neater to d/l as I probably need to do that from library pc too... oh and, don't name it as "graphics about incest" or something like that, haha.

I'm pretty sure we'll have more than three readers. There's a whole community of Ash/Andy fans on spn_stoners, so. Perhaps some of them can be begged, blackmailed, or bought.

Of course I can. and tempting as it may be to name the zip file "graphics about incest", I shall go with a more sensible title. ;D

Well, the Primeval comment-fic has been nagging me so I think I'll finish it in some sort of semi-schmoopy porn fest where there is a lot of inapproriate touching over geological surveys and casts of dino tracks.

I am indeed writing that for the evil!Sam challenge and it's 2/3 done. The challenge entries won't be posted until beginning of August though so I'm afraid you have to wait a little while for it. But! There will be other SPN stuff before that... including the shiny new anywhere_road Verse... *pimps madly*
