Original fic: Not-a-Day
May. 7th, 2007 07:29 pmHello Darlings,
Yes I am still alive, just very embroiled in writing (which is going well) and sorting out my research (which is not going well) so apologies for probably missing a lot of exciting things on your journals. I will attempt to catch up at some point but if you think there is something that I really must read and comment on, please tell me so.
In the meanwhile, I will bring you a little original ficlet that has just been published in the Gay Flashfiction online zine.
Title: Not-a-Day
Author: Mistress Kat /
kat_lair
Fandom: Original slash fic
Pairing/Category: Michael/Danny, mood piece
Rating: PG
Word count: ~670
Disclaimer: All mine, hands off.
Summary: Time stops when you’re flying.
Author notes: Before anyone cries nepotism, I would like to point out that while
moth2fic is indeed one of the editors of the Zine and my good friend, “Not-a-day” was handled and approved by other people whom I don’t know. Though it is entirely due to her gentle nagging that I wrote and submitted it in the first place. You all should go and do the same. The story was partly inspired by a song
wliberation gave me and I listened on repeat for two weeks. It may be obvious to her which one I’m talking about.
Read “Not-a-day” on the online zine. (easily found under "stories"). After that read all the other stories too.

on 2007-05-08 11:03 am (UTC)Your dissertation etc looks very interesting and I will certainly want to help. I also... er, know people who know some other people who have done academic research into the topic, so hopefully we can get things snowballing for you. I'll comment on your post with length later today or tomorrow (am a bit snowed under atm)

on 2007-05-08 01:02 pm (UTC)BTW I loved Not-a-Day! Firsly because that is so true about planes, and secondly I loved it because it was so simple. The emotions and mood and feel came through in the setting, without anything flashy or distracting. Great job!
