They don’t talk about it but that doesn’t really change anything. It’s still there, unacknowledged and simmering, this thing that doesn’t even feel wrong anymore, just inevitable. They tried running, but the years in between have done nothing but strengthen and mature what was always there, and now things are finally coming to head.
