You know those Apple ads with a middle-aged guy with a suit and a tie as PC and young guy with a hip t-shirt as Mac? Upon seeing them first my slash-radar did ping quite madly. Apparently I wasn't the only one - check mac_hearts_pc for the insanity

However, even if this sort of thing usually makes you shake your head sadly, I still urge you to read Wrong Side of the Tracks by ingrid_m. It's Mac/PC h/c with a lot of geeky references mild enough that even I got them. Mainly, however, it's the funniest thing I've read in ages. It's like... like... meta for geeks, only funny and slashy and... seriously. Just. Go. Read. Die laughing.

*lol* Oh my goodness. This is lovely. A community! And fic! And... all sorts of other stuff. Heh. I am highly amused.

Also, I find this funny because, well, doesn't this mean that the Mac commercials are sort of... working against themselves? Because they're gaining sympathy for PC. And evoking nostalgia. Can't be good for business. :)

Also, yeah, I'm feeling slightly protective against the fuddy-duddy PC(-man), like he just needs some love and hand-holding and really, if Mac just asked I bet he'd be up for some file-sharing...
