Doctor Who Drabble: Perks

I’m working my drabble-mojo like crazy. Boo-yay! Here’s the first of three for neppu’s birthday.

 

Doctor Who – implied Nine/Ten – PG

One final corner, through the door and— There he is; gagged and bound.

“Mmmpphh!”

And wow, is (was? had been? the grammar always lets him down) he pissed ever.

“Sorry to disappoint you,” he says. The words echo in his memory, like water drops in an empty cave. “We won’t escape until tomorrow.”

The (or is it “a” now?) Doctor eyes him suspiciously and, huh, he hadn’t realised he’d looked quite that obnoxious.

“Don’t worry. We’ll get the TARDIS back and that’ll be the end of it.”

Well, not quite. But they’d explore the occupational benefits later. In great detail.

Yes! But I totally wrote this several days before! Also, the bit about the Doctor outing the Master so casually in the CiN special made me choke on my beverage quite spectacularly.

Wasn't it wonderful?! And yes, I assumed you had been busy writing for a while and that the BC had somehow accessed your brain and stolen part of your idea!! It happened to me in Spooks - twice.

I didn't need the comment to make me choke - I are ill - iller than last week and C says I have to go to the doctor tomorrow, which means setting my alarm to wake up early to make an appointment, which is somehow, I think, very unfair of the NHS.

Aww... I hope you get better soon. Do you prefer I come later in the week instead Tuesday if you're really ill? I can do Friday or even Saturday if you'd rather sleep in peace than listen to me clank in the kitchen...

If I get antibiotics I might feel wildly well and able to go places... come anyway, because if I don't, I will be feeling lonely and can come down to the kitchen wrapped in a rug.
