Doctor Who Drabble: Teeth

Doctor Who – implied Doctor/Master – dark/horror – PG-13

Teeth

The Doctor falls to the floor writhing, tearing at his shirt. Hundreds of bite marks cover his torso, angry sickle moons of blood and poison. 

The Master takes an involuntary step back. Then another. “What?” he breathes. This isn’t the way it’s supposed to go.

On the ground, the Doctor arches sharply, back bowed painfully tight. He’s regenerating, but it’s all wrong; the light licking at his body is murky, blackness spreading over him like oil on water. 

The Doctor rears up, face melting into something new and not humanoid. “Run!” he gasps.

The Master runs. For real this time.

dkhglskfhglj you weren't kidding when you said these would be creepy, were you? I could totally feel the Master's fear in this, and weirdly, the Doctor's fear as well. When the Master steps back, and says "what?", I could hear it, and was all "RUN, YOU FOOL". I like how you manage to insuinate what's happened to them both, but leave the rest up to our imagination. It makes it so much creepier.

But yes, I'm seriously gleeful that the creepiness worked this well for you. There is indeed a sort of backstory in my head about what is going on and even though it is probably very difficult to what you think has happened, I'm still so very happy something of that came through.

Haha. I'm not sure if that's a good thing. It might just mean that I'm terribly long winded. Seriously, I tried writing a drabble just this morning, and I couldn't do it. So my awe for your mad writing skillz has just hit the roof.

I have this very specific monster in my head, when I think of transformed!Doctor. It looks kind of... I'm not sure how to explain it. Insect-like? It has pincers. I'm pretty sure I'm just imagining a monster that's already been on the show, but whatever. I'd always be interested to hear the backstory, though.

I tried writing a drabble just this morning, and I couldn't do it. - practice makes perfect. It's not a magical skill, I'm convinced you can do it. _{haha, I have skillz with a z?}
