Welcome weary traveller,

You seem to have stumbled upon my journal and you are welcome to stay and have a look around. Here are some things that you may be wondering about:

Kat: Female, fabulously in my forties, Finnish but living in the UK, academic, university lecturer, writer, poet, fandom slut, geeky, polyamorous, pansexual, kinky, romantic, fluffy-headed, soft-hearted, open-minded, strong-willed, observant, introspective, over-analytical, assertive, prone to working way too much, sarcastic, silly, tactile. Also into cats (not like that) and woolly socks (maybe a little bit like that).

Fandoms: All of them, all the time? I don't really leave fandoms so much as collect them and then become less active in them. But I always return to them eventually. I consume fanworks and media far more widely than I produce fanworks, and I've produced fanworks in... *goes to count* over 70 fandoms so... You can check my (always woefully out of date) list of interests or AO3 profile MistressKat to get an idea. Or ask what my current obsession is and I'll happily elaborate.

Other social media presence: Uhhh... Not really. DW remains my main presence on the web, largely because I don't have mental energy to maintain a lot of social media (I'm one of those people who never got a Facebook even!). I have a locked poetry journal on DW as well for my own work: boneverse

Fanworks: Apart for some co-authored verses and older graphics/icons that need to be migrated, everything should be on my AO3. I also still post things on DW (nostalgia) and here you can find things under relevant tags such as my fanfiction or my graphics.

Transformative works policy? YES, DO IT! I welcome all transformative works based on my fanworks. Please feel free to remix, make fanart, podfic, fanmixes etc. However, I ask that you a) acknowledge my work and link to it, and b) please, please drop me a line somewhere (comment here, pm, AO3...) about it because I want to squee and admire!

I'm the same with fandoms. I don't really leave them but just become much less active in them.

Fandoms: All of them, all the time?

That's a good way to describe it. I'm jumping back and forth between the fandoms and even if it takes years, there's seemingly always a memory or a crossover that brings me back to a fandom. Last year I rediscovered a fandom after over a decade in which I thought I would never really get back into it - proof that fandoms only ever lurk on the back burner for me, ready to jump back to the front when I least expect it at times :)

This is pretty much exactly my experience. I can not create or consume in a fandom for years and years and then return to them. Usually with a sense of rediscovery of 'oh this is what I loved' and excitement over checking out new works for my fave pairings etc. Or re-reading the old ones I vague remember loving. I like to call myself 'chronically multifandom' :D The only downside is that you always miss out on something because there's so much shiny and so little time.

There are so many shiny things and far too little time for them. It just means I never run out or at least there's another shiny to distract myself if a pairing/trope/fandom seemingly ran dry :D

Welcome! I did not expect to like K-pop but the sheer competency and the music videos that cater strongly for my interests (so. many. collars.) have converted me. I can't guarantee a lot of K-pop content because I'm extremely multifandom and flighty but you are very welcome :)

I LOVE COLLARS! I'm sure you've already seen Vixx's Chained Up. Here are a couple of my favourite collared K-pop videos you may not have yet seen:

It is always safe to assume I have seen nothing and on the rare occasion I have seen it I'll just be delighted to watch it again. Which is what happened here. Yes, I've seen that video and had a lot of feelings about it over on corvidology's and also on dreamersdare's journals, but watched the live version tonight and had some more feelings. They... do like their jackets without shirts underneath, don't they?

So THANK YOU for these recs.

Reveal mv: oh mmm very nice collar around a very nice neck and look, there is some face caressing (own and other people's) and I also here for that.

Reveal live: that... uh, that sure is a statement to make. 110% that leash got grabbed and pulled several times that night. irresistible taunt.

HIT: gosh there's a lot of them, but the dancing is extremely competent and I approve of any excuse for getting them wet.

All of them, all the time? This is exactly how I feel about fandoms! And then when you throw tiny fandoms and then podficcing into the list haha.

I really resonate with Dreamwidth being such a great speed (and I get behind on comments here too).

Hello, hello! And yes, I know, I was so excited to see that my current fandom obsession is going to have a DW home as well. I mean I have cultivated hard in the inner circles and am regularly screeching at both dreamersdare and athenejen about Stray Kids via multiple channels, but MORE THE MERRIER.

ALL THE FANDOMS!! Honestly, I've never been able to pick a single favourite of anything, whether it's food, colour, book, movie etc... K-pop is clearly no exception :D

Current obsession... Is definitely Stray Kids. Absolutely feral about their OT8 poly fam shenanigans. dreamersdare and I have like... 4 different fics as wip currently, close 20k in total, and we are absolutely loving it. I cannot remember the last time writing came this effortlessly to just riding the wave while it lasts.

That's all good. No pressure, engage as little or lot with posts as you like. I'm very multifandom and also post RL stuff so I know not everything is for everyone and absolutely do not expect comments on every post or anything. At the moment I'm posting twice a day for Spooktober which is a lot!

Oh good, I'm 'polyfanamorous' too, as people call it. I constantly jump from fandom to fandom. Definitely stuck in The Professionals at the moment though, lol.
