More birthday drabbles for moth2fic, this time in one of the few fandoms we actually have in common.

Stargate Atlantis – Beckett/McKay – PG

Silk

“This was your one personal item?” Rodney’s face is slack with disbelief, voice warring between amusement and something else. “Seriously?” He hasn’t taken his eyes off the bed once. 

Carson’s pretty sure that’s a good sign. “I am very serious about my comforts,” he grins, walking slowly closer.

“Comforts?” Rodney’s gaze flicks up, uncertainty creeping in. 

Carson shoves a little and they tumble down onto the mattress. “These are a comfort,” he says, running a hand across the sheets, dark blue silk flowing between his fingers like water. “This,” he brushes his lips over Rodney’s, “is much more than that.”

 

Stargate Atlantis – Beckett/McKay – G

Water 

“Easy. Not too much.” 

Carson’s hand wraps around his, steady and sure. The glass clinks against Rodney’s teeth, a sharp little sound that reverberates through the bones of his jaw, making his already exceptional headache ten times worse.

Rodney drinks greedily despite the stinging pain that follows every swallow. “What happened?” His voice sounds raw and unused, the words grating the sore flesh of his throat. 

The infirmary is quiet except for the soft hum of machines, the night lights casting shadows across Carson’s face as he sits down beside Rodney’s bed.

“I’ll tell you in the morning. Just sleep.”
