Due to my woeful lack of pop music knowledge, this was the celebrity death that hit me the most in 2016. :( I'm still choked up when I think about it. Leia has been one of my role models (and hair aspirations) since I was 11, and Carrie was such an amazing person IRL too. Also, she was the same age as my mum currently is, so the "way too soon" aspect hit me extra hard.
The one that personally touched me most was Leonard Cohen. I was sad about others including Carrie but him I cried over. Even though with him it was not a surprise considering his advanced aged. Carrie and some of the others... Just yeah, wtf, younger than my parents some of them. Unfair.
