I wanted to do this last night, but had already turned the computer off. However, the delay has not dampened my utter and heartfelt GLEE.

Torchwood Finale was... AWESOME! and  SO HOT!

I can't remember the last time I was so riveted. I sat in attention the whole hour and half, with my jaw literally hanging open. After each scene I thought 'this is surely it, they can't top this' and THEN THEY DID!

The plot! With the creepy Billis who was so obviously evil you'de need to be blind (or work for Torchwood) not to see it. And Tosh being Japanese and yes omg, not popular in 1941 England. And writing equations with her own blood!"

Jack! And the original Jack. And the subtle desperate yearning looks and I was dying. And dancing *cries* I worried so for the original Jack who will get gay-bashed the second the camera panned away, but maybe it was worth it because HOW HOT WAS THAT KISS? I almost spontaneously combusted on the spot!

And Owen! Owen and Ianto (is it wrong that I wanted them to have angry sex?). And Ianto's "Jack needs me". Gwen's scene over Rhys's death was so realistic it hurt, I was bawling like a baby. Owen shooting Jack and then the ending with the tears and the hugs and why the fuck was the Ianto/Jack kiss cut so quickly? Also: Ianto's Brokeback moment with Jack's jacket! *weeps from the slashiness*

THE DEVIL!!! (was that the same devil from DW?). Jack on his knees, screaming! And he died, twice! And then came back, twice. And the FINAL SCENE OMG SQUEE! "Who would have persuaded you?" "The right kind of Doctor." aaaaahhh! People have wanted that to happen so bad but no one believed the ywould actually do it, but THEY DID! When the severed hand started twitching I was all "No Way!" And then we could hear the Tardis sound and I was vibrating with excitement so hard I fell of the sofa (literally) and AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

WHEN IS THE NEXT SERIES??? Did the devil suck all the extra lives out of Jack? Can he die for real now? Was that really the Doctor? Will Jack beg to stay with him? What makes him not to, in the end? Will Gwen and Rhys make it? Is there any hope for Owen? Is Jack really shagging Ianto? Will Tosh get more action scenes where she can look gorgeous and incredibly well-dressed. Will they ever have a Torchwood orgy with alien sex-pollen? I NEED TO KNOW!

Hmm, sounds like the theory my mother and I concocted is not confirmed. Maybe it will be next series... I can't tell you what it is because if we've got it right, then OMG HUGE SPOILER.

Jack probably did end up in the TARDIS... He's in the next series of Dr Who for a bit anyway!

AND OH THE KISS. *is watching it on repeat on youtube*

you fell off the sofa - snickers... Sorry, that's so funny. Absolutely brilliant episode, although I've disliked Gwen for quite a while and last night, she really really got on my nerves. Why did they have to have her waking Jack up with a kiss - why couldn't it be Ianto. The bit where Ianto smells Jack's coat, that was heart-wrenching. It's quite sad though because it seems pretty clear that Ianto cares more for Jack than Jack does for Ianto.

Oh, yeah and the original Jack Harkness. Sigh.

One thing though - in some respects it seemed a bit like Buffy - ie the visions being sent by Abaddon - very like the visions from the First Evil. And the guy who played Billis reminded me in many ways of Joel Grey and his character in Buffy, the one that worshipped Glorificus.

Fantastic episodes though. I'm interested to know who's keeping Jack there.

Also, for a top secret hush hush organisation a hell of a lot of people seem to know about TOrchwood. *g*.

I only worked out at the very end who he reminded me of, and why I found him so skeevy: Senator Palpatine from Star Wars. THE VOICE! IT IS UNCANNY!

I worried so for the original Jack who will get gay-bashed the second the camera panned away, but maybe it was worth it because HOW HOT WAS THAT KISS?
I had to watch thier dancing scene from between my hands, because a) so hot omg, and b) IN THE MIDDLE OF A WW2 DANCEFLOOR, not a good idea!!

Did the devil suck all the extra lives out of Jack? Can he die for real now? Was that really the Doctor? Will Jack beg to stay with him? What makes him not to, in the end? Will Gwen and Rhys make it? In this order: I hope not, I hope not, I hope so, I hope not, Ianto, I hope so, I hope he dies, YES OMG, I hope so, and nngggh (but ew, Owen!sex).

(apologies for the CAPSLOCK OMG)

Yes, I agree, Bilis could have had his own entry under 'caution evil genius' in the dictionary and should have been under no circumstances trusted!

I loved that dancing scene, and Jack vs Jack is a whole world of hot awesomeness. Though I had so many images of that WW2 audience spilling drinks on their shoes and standing around with huge wide eyes, and then girls smacking their beau's and protesting 'you never dance with me like that!'

Gwen distraught was fabulous, Jack being emptied like a sieve was all sorts of angst, and the staying dead forever 'oh my god.'

Then obviously there's tardis noise, and everyone in the audience is dead from an overdose of dramatic guh-ness!

Oh, the dancefloor... with the music, and the light, and the dancing... and yes, the HOT. Thankfully my dad retreated to play music so I could squee unimpeded at the sheer beauty of their brief romance.

The whole Owen/Ianto scene was just fantastic. Owen kicks Ianto, insults him, acts like a fool and is then shot by Ianto. I cheered at the last part. Ianto looks really quite hot with a gun. And in the waistcoat. And just in general.

WHEN IS THE NEXT SERIES??? - too far away! I too want to know what will make Jack go back to Torchwood... It's like "how will Rose leave the Doctor?" all over again. And going to be just as traumatic, I'm sure.

I loved the Torchwood error message - "Blow up hub? Y/N"

(Dad: "They're all gay, aren't they? *huff* Me: *squee*)

yes! Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.

wasn't it just perfect! All wonderfully angsty and the woe and. oh yes.!

And I worried so for the original Jack who will get gay-bashed the second the camera panned away, yes, so did I - I thought, they'd get away with the dancing,,, maybe.. but then the kissing and the loving. But then I pacified myself with "oh it's okay, he dies anyway", then had to forgive myself for thinking that! Positively speaking - at least this way Jack (the real one!) had a moment of sublime beauty and self realisation before he died. Or something!

Gwen's scene over Rhys's death was so realistic it hurt, I was bawling like a baby. snap. And i have seen none of this show, Ihave no investment in the characters other than jack from DW itself, yet the power of this had me wailing. So intense.

why the fuck was the Ianto/Jack kiss cut so quickly? As I said, i haven't been watchingthis, so not as involved. But I loved that the Jack/Ianto kiss was 'ignored' almost. I loved the fact that it was matter of fact. It was just Jack kissing him without big fanfare of drama. Seemed to mean more to me that way.

My Mum phoned me 10 minutes from the end - I just barked at her that I would call her back and hung up! Fancy interupting that!

and the "right kind of doctor" bit, with the tardis and Jack - Oh I was soooooo excited. Laughing in glee!

your questions -yes! also: we still have Jack to realise that it's no longer Nine, plus he kissed Ianto - obv I with no knowledge of what's gone on before, but will that be what brings him back to Torchwood? Will it be self sacrificial or will it just be woe and not bonding as Ten. Oh God they have to bond as Ten!

I wish I'd watched them all now!

Jack got lovely kissing in this week!! I was glad when he finally did get to make out with himself real Jack. And then with the Ianto kiss of welcome back! so much with the yay.

And the Doctor and Jack seem to have taken the Hand with them! Because having an extra hand around is always helpful...?

OMG Gwen's reaction to Rhys dying broke me. I like Rhys well enough, and I think GWen probably does love him, but I don't think she even remotely respects him. And to see her just fall apart like that was painful. Almost as touching as Ianto clutching and burying his head in Jack's coat.
