My question is about Aftermath. Do Spencer and Jon know the exact nature of Ryan and Brendon's relationship. I mean they know their together but do they know the D/s or slight d/s of their relationship?

Also, Why won't you write more? I want need so much more of your dommy Ryan in my life.

Do Spencer and Jon know the exact nature of Ryan and Brendon's relationship. - Yes they do, because Spencer and Jon are having a similar relationship themselves. There's a tacit reference to it in the scene where Ryan lashes out at Jon and Spencer steps up, because Ryan is out of line, talking like that to Spencer's sub. And then again when Spencer leads Jon away by his wrist. I have a wrist kink so whenever someone touches/grabs someone there in my fics (instead of say arm or hand), it's a sure sign that I'm inserting some power play subtext even if it's only in my mind.

Why won't you write more? - Probably the most truthful answer to that is that I'm lazy. But other, equally true, answer it that I do write, it's just that I'm very multifandom and therefore it may take me a while to circle back to the fandom any particular Flister actually cares about. The next one to be posted will actually be a co-authored fic in the Robin Hood fandom. At the moment I have WIPs in Bandom (though none feature dom!Ryan I'm sorry to say), Supernatural, Doctor Who, Stargate Atlantis and original femslash... And I'm working on them all. At the same time. It's not a very reader-friendly strategy I have, which makes me very grateful and humbled when people stick around and express interest. So thank you! I'm really pleased you enjoyed dom!Ryan and while I can't make any promises, he may yet make an appearance in the future.

What genre do you find most satisfying to write, fandom or original fic?

I don't know if I can actually pick one over the other. I like writing characters, whether they are my own or someone else's is almost immaterial. If the character is interesting enough I'll love writing it. However, I'm often lazy about making up characters so in that sense fanfic gives me a ready-made vehicle. I also love language for the sake of language, which is why a lot of my original writing is not really character-driven, more like... I don't know, it seems like a stupid comparison, but a bit like impressionist paintings; pretty but lacking in substance. *shrugs* I doubt any of this actually answered your question, but hey you got nonsensical ramblings... um.

I HAVE A QUESTION. What are you going to write next for anywhere_road? I feel like I should know - in fact, I think I do? - but I'm going to abuse my co-author status here and ask. Or, alternatively, what plot arc and/or story are you most looking forward to writing for anywhere_road?

Also: what happened to Much and Robin's relationship after if you are the rhyme and i the refrain? Did it stay the same, or did it change in some significant way?

/o\ I currently have four plot ideas/WIPs for anywhere_road so, um, I'm just going to outline them here so you can poke me with a sharp stick:
1. your birthday fic, i.e. "the five times Andy ends up in a hospital and it's not Ash's fault" - the obviously won't all be about Andy being sick, there are other reasons to end up in a hospital after all... Significant about this is just the last scenario will sort of deal with the events of All Hell Breaks Lose but I don't know if this is something we should plot/write together instead, in which case I could make it "four times..." Then I also wanted to ask if you'd be interested in writing "one time Andy ends up in hospital and it's totally Ash's fault" based on that little ficlet i wrote you where Ash is sick and vomiting and it's maybe not food poisoning at all... (just an idea, cos i sort of like the symmetry)
2. hustler!Andy fic... this is a little vague. Why would Andy be hustling when he could just mindwhammy people into giving him what he wants? But maybe the powers only work on one person at the time... or there's a temporary dampening spell on him? I don't know. What I do know that I have the scene plotted where the Ash has to ring the Winchesters for some emergency bail money and then go get Andy out of jail and how he's not very happy about any of it. *hands*
3. The one where Andy picks up a puppy except it's not an ordinary puppy (but a witch's familiar). However, it is a very large and enthusiastic puppy and will chew on Ash's computer cables and possibly pee on his favourite t-shirt, but Ash is sort of incapable of actually throwing it out of the van because the sight of Andy with the puppy would melt a heart of stone and let's face it, Ash's heart is hardly stone when it comes to Andy in the first place.
4. a drunken!sex PWP with some angst... early days when everything is new and uncertain. Andy is an affectionate drunk.

The one I'm really looking forward to writing is of course the much hinted Zombie encounter where Ash ends up ruining his hair and Andy unsuccessfully tries to mindwhammy the undead. This is something I think we should tackle together, e.g. tell it in short alternating pov sections...

Okay, Much and Robin. Ceasura (http://kat-lair.livejournal.com/105909.html#cutid1) is the drabble that hints at the aftermath of that fic. The way I've written Much and Robin in if you are the rhyme and i the refrain I can't see a happy ending to them. Much is not satisfied with less than everything any more, tired of always compromising and Robin is unable to give more than a part of himself. Honestly, I think that was the last time they came together like that. It was Much's decision, because sometimes he's the only one who can make the hard choices even when they're the right one.

FOUR?! I only have... one. Two, if you count the zombie encounter.

1. I would not be at all adverse to the idea of writing 'one time Andy ends up in hospital and it's totally Ash's fault'. I don't mind if you want to write the five things yourself, though. I'll try and bring it up when we next talk on MSN?
2. The dampening spell thing could work... it's a shame we can't set it after AHBL, because we know that Sam's powers weakened after that. I was going to say that maybe Andy feels guilty mindwhamming people into giving him their money, because it's not like taking a guy's coffee or borrowing the Impala, it's actually stealing. Or or it could look too suspicious if a guy just hands over some money on the street, so Andy lures them into alleyways under the pretense of being a hooker and then mindwhammies them into handing over their money. But the dampening spell would work, too.
3. PUPPYFIC OMG. ♥ (What's the puppy's naaaaame? :3)
4. WOO DRUNKEN SEX. Andy the affectionate drunk. ♥

Ahh, I didn't realise you'd written an aftermath drabble. I do apologise. (I've failed, haven't I?). Aw. Your Much and Robin backstory makes me go "oh boys". That's pretty much how I would see their relationship, I think, if I weren't such an incurable romantic.

So, you're gonna be privileged. I'll give you a little glimpse of what we've been discussing about the zombie fic and it will answer your questions. Serious authors are serious:

sophie : oh, totally. are we going to make Ash have short hair, for this fic, like in the picture?

Just because I'm an OTP slut. In To Have and to Hold Down what is going on between Sam and Gene? Especially, does Sam know how he affects Ray, and is he doing it on purpose?

Here's where I sigh deeply. Because I actually have two other fics in my head how things progress after To Have and to Hold Down but whether they ever make it to paper is doubtful.

Here's my theory of Sam, which I'm sure I've expounded on before: Sam is a confused switch. He's been the top (not necessarily in a formalised or sexual way always, but at least the one in charge) in all his previous relationships... That's it until he meets Gene. And then there's an unexpected desire/need to submit... So, that's what going on between Sam and Gene. And to fight the inevitable Sam is asserting himself as the top dog with everyone else, case in point manipulating Ray and Chris.

Which answers your other question: Yes Sam knows exactly what he's doing, and he is playing with Chris and Ray on purpose. But the thing is, neither Ray or Chris know what they're doing, not really, so it will all backfire a little and in the sequel (which, seriously, probably never gets written) Sam will have to show Ray how to handle Chris right... um, yes, I'm talking Sam/Chris/Ray smutty shenanigans.

the "ah...inadvisable" part, in particular, in my imaginary world gives it way. How diplomatic. How enigmatic. How clearly indicative of consequences-to-come. So, my question, therefore is narrative driven. How does Spencer process Jon's behavior, because he doesn't seem like the type to just let things go...

Also, cause you didn't actually set a limit and I'm a greedy fiend - again in aftermath, Ryan is hurt my Brendon's negative attention seeking. Yet, I'm guessing it isn't entirely a surprise since, (a) Brendon needs an attention rich environment, and (b) Ryan doesn't read in the fic like someone who would be oblivious. Especially since Brendon is kind of transparent, so, my question is, what is Ryan upset about? That he didn't notice, that Brendon wasn't honest about his needs, a combination, or something else entirely?

See, objectively speaking, Jon actually wasn't that much out of line. He was just joking and agreeing that Brendon really did mean what he said, just sort of going with the stage-play. It just probably felt worse for Ryan. But I don't think it's something Spencer would actually need to punish Jon as such. More than likely he will just give him a little speech about how Jon should know better than that by now, and and not get tangled in Ryan and Brendon's games. I see Jon and Spencer as far more relaxed and stable d/s couple than Ryan and Brendon, who are still very unsure of themselves and of each other. Their need and love is sharper, with edges that cut before they fit together.

...and this leads to answering your other question. I think there's a large amount of frustration on both their parts. In my mind it's relatively early stages of relationship and they both just want so much, but don't really know yet how to ask or what they can ask. And when they're upset, Brendon pushes and Ryan withdraws, until something snaps like it does here... So Ryan is upset about not really knowing how to handle the situation or whether he should or is allowed to, about Brendon pretty much announcing on stage that he's looking for company (other than Ryan that is), about Brendon not trusting Ryan to just give him what he needs without these games. Theirs is a relationship that needs work.
