When Changbin gets back from the gym, Chan is asleep on the sofa. The early morning sunshine bathes his features in pale gold, the bruised skin under his eyes achingly exposed.
Changbin stands there, watching the slow rise and fall of Chan’s chest, the curl of his fingers around the old blue cushion Changbin’s grandmother made. There’s a hole in Chan’s left sock, a fashionable rip in his jeans that Changbin wants to slip his hand through, to trace the shape of Chan’s knee, the tender skin behind it.
He pulls the blanket over his hyung instead. Lets him sleep.
