Prince was one of those artists whose stuff I listened to a lot as a teenager, working to translate the lyrics (loved when they were printed conveniently in the cassette sleeve!)

Sad news - but we realised last night that we didn't know his work at all. We'd heard of him, of course, but the height of his fame must have come at just the wrong time for us. I will listen to the songs you've linked!

I was pretty obsessed with his 90s stuff as a teenager, and then went back and got a lot of the 80s stuff too. Problem is that he was famous for not allowing his work on any music streaming sites so unless you own it, it's hard to find more than those three on youtube even.
