I’m procrastinating with stuff. Have a meme, snagged ages ago from all over.

01. Who is your favourite character from #2? (Supernatural)
Oh god, this is like asking me to choose between flavours of chocolate. *fidgets* Winchesters are ever so beautiful together, but I’m going to have to say Dean… His emo pain, continuous self-sacrifice, and “Touch my brother and you will die, bitch!” attitude are just too delicious for words. There is no better emotional porn in TV than watching the Winchester brothers not work through their issues together. (However, honourable mentions go to Andy and Ash. Because they’re mah boys! *squishes*)

 

02. Who is your least favourite character from #4? (House M.D.)
Cameron. And it’s less to do about my adamant belief that House belongs with Wilson and no one else, and more to do with how she was written in the first two seasons: spineless, bleeding heart pushover, who thought she could and should make everything better. Watching season three has warmed me to her a lot more; now she gets to have snappy lines and show some strength of character.

 

03. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include? (Stargate Atlantis and Doctor Who/Torchwood)
This has actually been done, and well, already. But if I were to write one (and let me just say I won’t, and any and all hints to that direction will be met with hearty laughter) it would probably involve Captain Jack somehow being a part of the American military (and single-handedly annulling DADT), Tosh having been recruited for the Atlantis Expedition early on (and having cute hot Japanese girl-love with Miko), and McKay spontaneously combusting from jealousy because the Doctor is a time-travelling alien and therefore knows about all sorts of shiny technology that Rodney can only dream of.

 

04. Who is your favourite ship from #6? (Ugly Betty)
I’m enjoying this series immensely but so far haven’t really gotten fannish or shippy about it… Though, I know where to find the fic when the urge becomes too much. Betty/Henry is painfully sweet and makes my heart constrict. Betty/Christina would be interesting (I have a bit of a girl-crush on Ashley Jensen who I adored in Extras), and Betty&Daniel friendship is very satisfying and I’m pleased the writers have restrained themselves from any shippy leanings so far. Highly interestingly, this is one of the few shows where I can so far see very little m/m slash potential anywhere…

 

05. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be? (Life on Mars and Ugly Betty)
Huh. Gene and Wilhelmina? Just because it would be fun to watch, even though you’d have to wear protective clothing.

 

06. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do? (House M.D.)
Chase. Because he is just irreverent and cheeky enough to get into all sorts of trouble with… Maybe we could lock House and Wilson in the broom closet. (Ulterior motive: Chase is also such a pretty little sub that I can think of all sorts of things to do to with him…)

 

07. If you could change one thing about #2's plot line, what would you change? (Supernatural)
Bring back Andy and Ash!!! I’m still not over the fact that they killed two of my favourite minor characters. *shakes fist at Kripke* Apart for that I have to say that in general I’m quite satisfied with the overall plot arch. I do miss John but his death served as a catalyst for so much pretty emotional porn angst and plot revelations that it’s hard to see how it could have been achieved otherwise. I would like to ask for more broyay, but I’m not sure that’s even possible.

 

08. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them. (Doctor Who/Torchwood)
Um. Okay, this may be more my personal canon (based largely on the fic I’m writing) but… *shrugs* The Doctor and the Master have this really, um, interesting relationship. It’s love so intense it actually looks like hate. They’re like a text book case of what happens when you put two switches together. It can be the greatest thing ever, or it can go horribly, horribly wrong…

 

09. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be? (Stargate Atlantis and Life on Mars)
John Sheppard or Sam Tyler? Possibly Sheppard, because the chances are that Sam only thinks he’s drowning, when in fact he is in a coma batshit crazy.

 

10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose? (House M.D.)
Apart for Hugh Laurie who comes first, all the other actors’ names are simply listed in alphabetical order, which suits me fine. In fact I really like the simplicity of the House credits, there are no stilted clips of the actors, just good graphics and location shots.

 

11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like, and what would their role be? (Ugly Betty)
This is interesting. I don’t think the show is in desperate need of new characters at the moment, as it is pretty much an ensemble cast anyway. I would like to see more of Christina and perhaps introduce a love interest for her. 

 

12. What happens in your favourite episode of show #2? (Supernatural)
What’s with the “favourite” questions? They’re completely impossible to answer… One of my favourite episode of SPN this season was “Born Under A Bad Sign” because evil!Sam rocks my knickers socks. Here is the episode synopsis: Sam rings Dean (who is frantic because Sam’s been missing again) saying he’s waken up in a hotel room covered in someone’s blood and no memory of what happened. Dean goes to find him and there is angst (also a sad lack of full body searches for demonic marks). They investigate stuff and find out that Sam has been going around smoking, drinking, and oh yeah, killing some hunter guy. Dean destroys all evidence because he’s going down with this ship and no one’s going to take his brother away from him, not even Sam himself. Back in the hotel room Sam pushes a gun to Dean’s hands, demanding he kill him. There is much angst, and the most beautifully broken “I love you more than life” confession from Dean (it’s not exactly those words, but that’s what he’s saying). Then Sam is revealed to be evil!Sam and he hits Dean unconscious with the gun and swans off to do evil things. Dean wakes up and has a quick conversation about Justin Timberlake. Meanwhile evil!Sam is illegally sexy whilst bending girls over counters, tying them up, and grooving to The Doors. Dean shows up, throws some holy water on evil!Sam who smokes impressively, his eyes going all demonically black, which is about the time ever single small muscle in my body tightens involuntarily because, um, GUH. Anyway, the boys play hide and seek in a warehouse and evil!Sam shoots Dean in the shoulder (because apparently being possessed means you have a shitty aim). Whilst Jo drags Dean’s sodden ass out of the water, evil!Sam goes to see Bobby. But because Bobby is made of pure awesome he spikes his beer with holy water and therefore captures evil!Sam and ties him to the chair. Bobby and Dean try to exorcise the demon, who however has bound himself to Sam’s body with a nifty little branding and proceeds to kick their asses around the room. There is a wrongbadhot scene where evil!Sam keeps smacking Dean, who is all bloody and broken and just taking it, during which I sound like a baby dolphin, making tiny little whimpering noises at the back of my throat whilst slowly sliding to the floor. Um. Anyway, Bobby still has a brain on him so he burns the demon’s mark off Sam’s arm, therefore banishing it back to hell. Sam returns to himself and as a sign of love Dean promptly hits him in the face. Awww. They patch up, get in the Impala, where there is a brief attempt to “talk about things” before Dean whips out his favourite defence mechanism and makes a rude joke. The end.

 

13. If you could kill off one of the characters in #1, who would it be and how would you do it? (Stargate Atlantis)
Well, it sure as hell wouldn’t be anyone TPTB have already killed. I'm still traumatized by Carson's fate and don’t really harbour homicidal tendencies toward any of the characters.

 

14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose? (Life on Mars or Doctor Who/Torchwood)
Manchester or Cardiff? Um… Neither locations hold any great excitement to me. Seeing as LoM has finished filming and there would be no one there to meet, I’d have to say I would happily go swoon at the biggest gay icons of our time (oh shuddup, they so are!) John Barrowman and David Tennant. Plus, there could be a chance of meeting John Simm, which would be like some sort of double treat.

 

15. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
See, this is a complicated question. While many of the characters (or maybe it’s the actors) cause a very primal “nnngggh, would totally hit that” reaction, most of them are, at best, saddled with Issues, and at worst, mentally unstable. So yeah… while I would certainly sleep with most of the men, and quite a few of the women, in these shows, the characters that would actually be good for proper dating are more difficult to come by… Possibly Zelenka or Beckett from SGA, Andy or Sam from SPN (except, you know, Dean would kill me in my sleep), Ianto from Torchwood, or Henry from Ugly Betty. And yes, in case you were wondering, I do happen to find geeks pretty appealing…
