Today's post is pretty to say that I can't properly post or write on the laptop again because the touchpad is doing its own thing again. I think it is the heat and humidity that are contributing to the problem and that it'll be better tomorrow. Otherwise I will probably have a tantrum.

I am sad for you :(

Fingers x'd that it's back to normal once it cools off.

it's super annoying and makes doing everything on the laptop really difficult. earlier i watched my cursor minimise and maximise and programme window six times in a row whilst i was not even touching the laptop.

That does sound annoying. Do you have a mouse around? That way you could turn the touch pad off and use the mouse instead.

alas no, I don't own a desktop or an actual mouse. I may have to invest on one of those wireless ones if this continues...

Mine started misbehaving almost as soon as the last huge Microsoft security download had finished. Research suggests that TouchFreeze needs to be downloaded again - I did that this morning and hey presto! all is well.

I thought that might be the issue. I've done that and things are marginally better, although they get worse the longer I use the laptop so I think heat and humidity and staticness (staticity? there's got to be a word for this) are still to blame.

P.S. Not sure about a similar cure for the brain...

I do feel some kind of update on the software would be of benefit at the moment...

Hope you fix the touchpad - not sure there is much that can be done for the brain ...*g* I'm sure a tantrum would help though;)

Touchpad tends to be bearable for the first half of the day and then start acting up more and more as the laptop heats up...

Brain in denial mode today. lalala work, what work?
