So, whilst admiring margaret_r’s lovely photos the other day, I got the idea for today’s post. I enjoy playing around with graphics so I thought I’d offer to make some icons for people, in case there was interest.

So, first ten people to comment will get an icon (though likely more than one) made of the picture and/or text of their choice. Please comment with photos/quotes and I’ll have a go. I'll promise to make you at least one icon but feel free to provide several options just in case I'll get inspired. Also, let me know if there is something you’d particularly like, e.g. a text, colour, crop...

I particularly like the ones of Pete and Patrick. I'm not that bothered by Andy or Joe. The very first one of Patrick where he's smiling and looks really happy is gorgeous.

And then, as a third suggestion, I asked my f'list recently what my writing made them think of initially. It would be really cool to have a gif that showed the different types of writing that I do; dark, angsty, sad, schmoopy.

Anyway there are some suggestions. *g*

I've had some lovely icons from you, but I don't have any requests just now - too many ideas I'm looking forward to playing with in my own favourite graphics programs!! If you find it really enjoyable why don't you start an icon journal like roxicons? You wouldn't need to update too often. Some of Marg's photos are stunning and yes, I can see why they inspired you!

Heh, I suspect that icon/graphics making would go from being enjoyable to feeling like a chore if I'd formalise it to that degree... Plus I quite like keeping graphics on my own journal for now.

*waves madly* Can I make a request for an icon from said photos? The rainbow with the birds one and the three ibis would be nice. The crow might be good too. I'm sure there would be some great text that would go with the crow, but can't think what it would be ...

I was planning on digging out some photos from Scotland, but they are on a different pc - so instead I offer a selection of alternate images.

I'm still on cropping pictures stage so it's not too late at all to get your photos in there. These look like lovely things to play it, I'll definitely have a go. It may take a while though as I have two challenge fics this month and mum is coming for a visit.

Oh my gosh, I am beyond excited that Nic Cage will be in Expendables 3, and I would love an icon of him! Would you be able to do something with his pic? IDK what exactly, but with the smoke, maybe it would lend itself to something pulpy or noir-ish?
