Not being a die-hard Trek fan, someone had to explain the significance of that final scene in the trailer to me (or rather: why Tumblr was losing its shit over it) but omg. Set phasers to I AM GOING TO CRY IN THE ACTUAL CINEMA if what everyone is saying is true.

I just want more Kirk. I love this Kirk.

ALSO BONES. Because I love this Bones in a completely different and much more awkward way.

Trek! I am abroad that starship like woah. A lot of old school fans will have real issues about the movie if it rehashes Wrath of Khan too much, and the 'hands touching through window' is liable to rally slash fans on both camps...

I saw someone in ONTD suggest that the hand on the other side of the window could be Bones', and I swear to god the noise I made should never be attempted ever again. (I mean, it probably isn't. Perhaps fortuitously so, because I'm not sure my little Bones/Kirk shipper heart could take it)

The new Star Trek ads are so fucking exciting. I wasn't that into the first one when they were making it, so was pleasantly surprised when I saw it. This time around I'm basically a crazy, squeeing person :D
