Kat Recs All The Fics, Round 3 - Day 5

a scenic world - Brendon/Ryan, Frank/Gerard, AU. The one where they all work making nature documentaries. I've read this fic several times now and it gives me the happies every time. Also, the image of Gerard trailing after Sir David Attenborough with heart-eyes is the best ever.
Break The Walls (And Kill Us All) - Frank/Gerard, AU. This is and entertaining and interesting haunted house story with Frank as a reluctant antiques seller and Gerard as the local artist.
Creep In Like a Whisper - Frank/Gerard, slavefic. The Ways are wealthy landowners with a secret agenda and Frank is their new slave. Thoroughly enjoyable as these types of slavefics can be.
Forget About the Dirty Looks - Brian/Gerard, Bob/Ray, Gerard/Mikey (sort of, non-sexual), BDSM AU. Oh man, BDSM universe fics are like pizza for me; even when it's bad, it's good. And this one, this one is really, really good. BJKAFDKLFLKJD I fully admit to tearing up at Bob and Ray with the collar.
Just Can’t Get Enough - Frank/Gerard, background Bob/Brian, college AU. Frank spends a lot of energy trying to fix something that isn't really broken anyway, when all he needed to do was pay a little more attention. Funny and adorable. Also, college AUs are my favourite.
Nesty Verse - Bob/Ray, Frank/Gerard. Ah, a bandom classic. Most of you have probably read it but there are maybe some who haven't and besides, this is a fic that should be reread once a year anyway for the good of your mental health. Confession: Bob/Ray is a rare pairing that I adore. They are such dudes. And the first two instalments of this verse gives me over 55k of Ray and Bob being dudes and living together and working their way toward a lasting relationship and oh my god, it is glorious. The third and last fic in the 'verse takes a gander around the 'room mates falling in love' trope with Frank and Gerard, throws in misunderstandings and awesome secondary characters, and gives you another 49k of fic goodness. Read/reread now. You owe it to yourself.
The Perfect Man - Bob/Joe, Brendon/Spencer. It's skoosiepants so you know what you'll be getting: irreverent humour, great banter, silly plots and happy endings.
The Winner Takes It All - Brendon/Ryan, everyone else ever. The one where all of bandom plays stage-gay chicken. Hilarity ensues. Also some navel-gazing.
Through All Kinds of Weather - Ryan/Spencer. Another post-split fix it. Ryan gets sick and Spencer takes him to a cabin in the Aspen to recuperate. As you do. Hurt-comfort, talking out some stuff and ust with a most satisfying resolution.
Trucker 'Verse - Bob/Ray, Brendon/Patrick, background Mikey/Pete and Frank/Gerard. Bob in the first part brings the angst, while the second part completely sells me on a pairing I hadn't much considered before. Patrick as the older guy trying not to 'take advantage' (despite the fact that Brendon is all but throwing himself at him) is a refreshing and thoroughly enjoyable.
