Here's the thing. I have... studiously avoided that show (yes, even despite its apparent brilliance and loveable characters) because I fear I'd spend less time enjoying it and more time muttering about empirical validity and making comparisons to the UK approach to profiling. Fandom-academia separation is hard.

However!

I am currently preparing a lecture on police psychology that covers both the FBI approach and the UK approach to profiling, and would be interested in using a Criminal Minds clip to illustrate the former.

So, dearest Criminal Minds fandom: Can you recommend me an episode/scene that effective illustrates the use of Crime Scene Analysis approach to profiling, namely any or all stages of 1) data assimilation, 2) crime classification, 3) crime reconstruction, 4) profile generation. I would also be interested in any scene that explain/uses the organised/disorganised typology or e.g. the various serial killer types (visionary, missionary, hedonistic, power/control).

I don't have the time to start downloading and going through the entire series so would appreciate some tips of any 'stand out' scenes or episodes you remember. Many thanks!
