I know some of you have surrendered to the DIRTYHOTWRONGNESS that is Supernatural. And knowing the kind of people that are on my F-list, it's only a matter of time until the rest of you do (yes, dark_cygnet, I'm looking at you). So here, have some vid recs (both use season 2 clips).

Like I wrote in my comment: This is like the show SPN could be if it dared. Amazing. Adult. Unflinching. Uncompromising. Incredible. I'm not even going to go to the details about the sheer technical mastery (the colours, the editing, jesus christ the internal motion) except to say it will leave you gasping in awe and jealousy. So angsty it will kill you, and yet somehow so sinfully erotic you'll die with a satisfied smile on your lips.

This is... Well. It's an epic. It's epic crack. The all-compassing love of Dean and Sam, set to Meatloaf. No, seriously, it's awesome. I alternated between laughing my ass out (explosions, swelling music, Sam as the girl, aaaaaangst) and getting my heart broken (Dean, Dean, and oh Dean). The matching of clips to the lyrics is fantastic. This is a video I won't get bored for a good long while. Possibly ever.

oh god, I hear you. I used to have a huge incest squick, I did, honest. And then this show just broke itand then there was the fic which was 90% amazing and I know it's wrong and bad and hot *flaily hands* I have a my ticket to Special Hell right here.

I need a t-shirt that says "I used to have shame, but then I got into fandom." and wear it as a warning to everyone else.

On the other hand, there is some pretty amazing Gen here too... Do you watch the show though?

You are welcome. I've had Protège Moi on my hard drive for a couple of months now and every time I watch it I'm still blown away. Dean in bed with a red blanket = colour of SIN OMG, their reflection in the mirror, the look he gives Sam at 00:14, the backwards glance of SIN at 01:01, the church scene, the blood.

er. Yes. Slightly obsessive.

Everything red in that video gives a suggestion of sin...Mmmm redness among the staid black and white. Also, I think Dean bloody in any way hits some sort of primal switch in my brain which turns off my ability to think coherently. Mmmm...too pretty to be allowed out in public

The second vid was beautiful too, but since I've only seen about two thirds of season one most of it was one huge beautiful tease, lots of smashing and injury and significant looks and I'm going...who?...when?...Oh my god!...Wah!

I've meant to watch Supernatral. But now the idea of incest will be stuck in my head if I do... ;_; XD I'll have to look into it at some point all the same, it still looks good ^^

I did like the two videos though, but I'll like anything with Placebo - protege moi in is so easy to fall in love with.

oh man, I avoided SPN for precisely that reason. And then I caught a couple of episodes. And everyone was so pretty. And angsty. And omgtheyonlyhaveeachotherinthewholewideworld. At times it's pure emotional porn, that just hits every kink I have about must-repress-emotions and will-call-you-a-dork-and-die-for-you.

That said, it's completely possible to enjoy the show and the fandom without the wincest-factor (uhm. so I gather). There's quality Gen and Het fic around, and of course the show does have an enormous quantity eyecandy. *is shallow*
