Two Princes – American Idol – Adam/Kris – PG
Prompt: Bedtime stories

“I can’t sleep,” Adam says.

If Adam can’t sleep then Kris can’t sleep. And if Kris can’t sleep then he will probably pass out tomorrow. Maybe in the middle of his performance. Maybe on Simon. He shudders.

“Kris,” Adam whines. “Did you hear me? I said I can’t—”

“Yes, yes, c’mon.” Kris scoots over.

It’s taken a few weeks but Adam no longer hesitates before climbing under the covers with him. “Tell the one with the Dragon and the Song of True Love?”

Kris smiles, tangling his legs with Adam’s. “A long time ago, in a kingdom far far away...”

Even though I know nothing about these two and I'm reading it as an original fic I love the way you write them. It's just schmoopy and makes me go 'awww', and want to read more about them. Gah! What are you doing to me.

Funny icon and drabble. Have you considered spinning this into a longer story? You could create an epic fantasy about the Two Princes riding unicorns, saving the kingdom and each other from fire breathing dragons and breaking evil charms with fierce bravery and true love. Lacing the dialogue and interaction with humor and fluff would gratify your avid readers.

Thank you! I like how your mind runs with the idea, but to be honest I have no plans of continuing this into a longer story... I have too many WIPs on the go that need finishing and this was written specifically as a self-contained drabble and never meant to be a start of a longer fic. But I'm very flattered that you liked it, and thank you for taking the time to comment!

I'm completely dead and hung over from last night and only want to SLEEP so you can imagine this fits the mood PERFECTLY. It's like a bedtime story in itself, sweet and warm and quiet.
