Author notes: This is a story that we wrote simply to amuse ourselves, exchanging sporadic comments in an episode reaction post and often abandoning it for weeks at a time. Yet it somehow managed to evolve into a fully-grown fic, which seemed worth sharing with the wider (and allegedly porn-starved) audience of RH fandom. We hope you have at least half as much fun reading the story as we had writing it. Many thanks go to our amazing betas lolabobs and telynmurali who helped to whip the fic into shape. The title comes from the poem Is/Not by Margaret Atwood.

Wonderfully done! The change was so gradual - from fight to sex - and so seamless! (And so hot, even though this is not 'my' pairing and I don't go for violent sex as a rule). Neither the protagonists nor the reader saw the inevitable!

And I couldn't tell who had written what! I have done some collaborative writing and it always seems to me that each writer should theoretically be bringing different strengths, but then readers can't tell! So perhaps you can only collaborate successfully if you can really get into each other's minds. Interesting to think about!

It's really funny as well that you couldn't tell which parts were mine and which were Ginny's... I thought for sure some of my tells would be obvious.
