First Spark on AO3
They exchange notebooks in silence. It’s a familiar ritual by now, but being the first to see Yoongi’s lyrics, the rough chord progression all scribbled in his slanting, slightly jagged handwriting, still sparks something bright and burning in Namjoon’s chest, like fireworks.
The intense, greedy way with which Yoongi’s eyes are moving over the pages of Namjoon’s notebook, makes him think the feeling is mutual.
Eventually, they’ll talk, swap comments, offer improvements, bounce ideas back and forth to create something greater than the sum of their souls. But for now, there is silence, and the spark of inspiration between them.
