Title: Burgeoning

Author notes: Picked some spring themed prompts to get me out of a writing slump. This was for the prompt 'burgeoning'. Unbetaed so if you spot a typo or mistake you should tell me.
Burgeoning on AO3
It unfurls inside her, not like a flower but like a storm burgeoning above the horizon. The power roils and swells, and Nynaeve feels like laughing, like standing on top of a mountain, wind whipping her hair while she greets it, open-armed and strong. Sea water sluices off her in rivulets, and it only takes a tendril of the power to dry herself, salt crystals hailing down to the paving stones with a hard patter. The power is hers; she will not lose it. Like a tree with deep roots, she knows how to bend with the storm without breaking.
