This is a copy of the post I've just made over on

Okay, so a few months ago there was a poll (on the
paradisediner community) and some discussion of reactors, which I missed because I was away for that weekend and only had my work laptop with me and I'm too paranoid to log into my YT account on that. Anyway, I said I might do a little reactor rec post later.
Reader, I lied. This is many things but 'little' is not one of those. The 'Part 1/2' possibly gave it away.
When I got into K-pop I very quickly got into reactors as well and now I follow several, with varying intensity. I don't have time for Twitch or live streams and have yet to invest in anyone's Patreon even though there are a couple I'm tempted with. Most of the reactors I've recced have all of those in addition to being around other social media if you, unlike me who is old and tired, are so inclined.
Please keep in mind that this is an Extremely Subjective list built entirely on personal preference. The key caveat here is that because I'm like 90% about boy groups, that means that this list of reactors is thin on those who are exclusively or mostly about girl groups. Perhaps someone else could do that list? That said, all reactors are multi-stans and react to several groups/solo artists, some only within K-pop, some more widely so you will probably find something that catches your interest.
Beyond that, my two criteria for following a reactor are a) do they seem genuine in their interest (i.e. not just jumping on a thing for clicks) and b) do I vibe with their style and personality. Whether or not they are commenting from an expertise pov in music, video production, dance, style etc or simply a fan, doesn't matter to me, I enjoy both. Fandom is a social experience for me, and I don't have an opportunity to watch this kind of content together, at the same time, with my fandom friends as often as I'd like, so watching things with reactors is the next best thing.
I have purposefully kept comments short which means they are also very superficial and for most I could've gone on to talk about Why I Like Them for several paragraphs with links to fave reactions etc but alas, we live in late stage capitalism and I have to, like work, which I know is rude but there we have it.
Shut up Kat and give us the list.
Yeah, alright, under the cut and in no particular order.
Jordan Orme: Video editor, goofy and enthusiastic, technical detail and regular dance breaks, some product sponsorhip stuff that you can skip easily enough. Christian but not in your face about it.
Lau Reacts: One Of Us (girl, I see your AO3 tabs, I see them). Adorable, genuine, enthusiastic, constant bi-panic is relatable. The closest I can get to watching vids with a fellow fangirl whilst still home alone.
Anthony Ray KPOP: At times he is, well, young and brash, and I have definitely sighed and rolled my eyes at him on some occasions. And yet: his appreciation especially of the rappers is extremely engaging to watch.
Ben Kim: YT is mostly thirst traps and other themed compilation vid reactions, but has MV reactions on Patreon. Thirsty af 'respectfully, respectfully', hilarious, rude, regularly horny. Just really fun.
Birb: Ben is a sweetie. Infectious, earnest, prolific. The bi-panic is strong in this one as well, and I relate. Special mention to his squeaky chair. I rewatch his reaction to Stray Kids' Red Lights whenever I need to cheer myself up.
KeviKev: A baby gay, mostly reacting to thirst traps. He's a cootie patootie and I want to like bake him cookies and give a shovel talk to any dates.
TrollTek: A thirsty af bi Aussie, loves a slutty waist in a slutty croptop (and is very valid for that), cusses a lot, does a variety of stuff (guides, MVs, performances, compilations etc), all extremely entertaining.
Caitlin Benson: I love her. She is just Very Real and regularly bouncing out of her chair with enthusiasm, singing along (and doing that well too). Never fails to reach me emotionally.
TeddyGreyOnStuff: It's just nice to hear an accent I'm used to. But also, he is a massive Binnie (SKZ) fan. I rewatch some of his SKZ reactions when I need cheering up, especially Side Effects where he literally runs into a wall. His reaction to SKZ's Ate album cured my covid. Well, maybe not but it did make me screech with laughter several times. Does a wide variety of artists, well beyond K-pop.
MrSammyCam: Another UK reactor, whose K-pop journey has been really fun to watch. He's really chill and approachable, honestly reminds me of some of my more likeable students.
미니민minimin: Subtitles available for some but not all reactions but honestly, doesn't even matter, because the guys' expressions and wailing of artist names transgress language barriers. Also, one of the guys has nice pipes on him and the occasional covers are good.
Jeff Avenue: My go to for pro-dancer commentary. Explains things well. Is appropriately thirsty at times but a sweetie at all times.
Knox Hill: I stay out of drama but I gather he gets some hate. Personally, I've really enjoyed and learned a lot from his reactions, both K-pop and beyond (as an aside, if you're into Hamilton, his commentary of that is legit excellent and educational)
MUSA LOVE L1FE: Cures your depression. Has somehow cracked the art of being relentlessly upbeat and positive without being relentlessly annoying too. Relatable equal opportunity suffering.
Pagan Reacts: Radiant Irish lady. But also, pure and genuine reactions that always leave me smiling (or sometimes feeling other feelings). Just really... sunny, curious, open, positive.
G.O.T Games: My face regularly hurts from grinning as I watch him tear up with joy. Like many he started with BTS and then went down the rabbit hole. Absolutely delightful, irresistible laugh. Does a lot artists but also anime etc.
Katriinka: Vocal coach, super sweet and interesting commentary on vocal techniques. Does a lot of different groups.
Part 2/2 tomorrow.
