Description (one used for the claiming): Sam sits on the foreground, looking like he has reached the end of his rope. Behind him are mysterious ruins of an old temple, and in the distant doorway we can see Dean. There are also two circular symbols, white one surrounding Sam and dark one surrounding Dean, indicating balance and symmetry.

Artist notes: This was my first time taking part in spn_reversebang. My reasons were twofold: 1) work is so busy that I have little energy for writing, but art is a different kind of activity and actually quite relaxing, 2) I haven't done anything in SPN fandom for a while. I was delighted to have both of my art pieces claimed pretty quickly AND so very delighted with what my authors came up with. It's been a real pleasure working with septembers_coda who has produced an awesome story with magic and brotherly love and most satisfying solution to the Gadreel storyline as well. This is the original art. I went for some mysterious ruins and angsting Sam, hoping it would be sufficiently tempting and sufficiently broad for potential authors.



septembers_coda created an awesome monster. Behold the goblin Satan :D "He became a sort of tree-creature, covered in thorns, over ten feet tall. [...] bark-skinned monster [with] fingers like wooden daggers"

I don't think I ever mentioned how much I think you captured The Wizard's sarcastic expression, even... it looks like he's filling Dean's ear here, just as he does in the fic. And I fell in love with your prompt-image all over again. :-D Beautiful, angsty Sam. <3 <3

I'm a wordy person so even in my art posts I end up rambling about stuff :) And hah yay for wizard's slightly smug expression working with the story! I'd like to say it was on purpose but... It's been a while since I've done anything with my water colours so it was pretty fun and therapeutic.

Thanks again for creating such an awesome case fic story for it, much more satisfying ending to the Gadreel storyline than the show gave us!

Oooo, angsty Sam and mysteries!! And the goblin Satan is suitably creepy.

As a sidenote, after reading the description "--fingers like wooden daggers", replying to your post via click a link that says "take my hand" made me pause for a moment. I'm hoping there will be no goblin Satans to drag me somewhere for commenting. *checks under the table* ;D

The description of goblin Satan is from the fic. And ahahahaha yeah, I can see how that might make you check under the table and behind the sofa... But don't worry, the Winchesters pretty much took care of goblin Satan so you should be safe :D
