Friends Cut Done

I've just done a larger than expected friends cut.

If I defriended you, it was because I haven't heard you from ages and thus assume you're no longer around/it hasn't felt like we ever really connected/we no longer have interests in common. Please don't take it personally as you are all awesome people and I wish you all the best.

If you think I've made a grievous mistake (entirely possible!) and would like to stay on my flist for whatever reason, then please let me know and I'll be happy to add you back.

I'm pondering a friends cut (for similar reasons as you), but for some reason it feels so dramatic! But you've set such a good precedent for handling it nicely, I'm thinking I should just knuckle down and do it. :)

I think this is all part of my current EVERYTHING MUST CHANGE period, result of end of thesis looming. It's funny cos I'm generally not great with change, I don't like it, it makes me anxious. And now... I want new hair and wardrobe, I want to try lots of new things (and have done and am planning to do) etc. Clearly I'm like... easing myself into the huge inevitable change coming soon with finishing my PhD.
