Yes Sam/Ava I can actually buy. Dean/Jo, just no. But. If they make Jo into a bit edgier, she might actually be an interesting character. Like say... maybe she was the one who sold out Sam. Maybe she's going to side up with the Gordons of the hunting community and go after the psychics? Maybe she'll (attempt to) seduce Dean in order to get close enough to Sam to kill him. Now, that would be worth watching.
JA does subtle heartbreak like no one else. He killed me in the "Sam, I'm begging you." scene. Really, really did.
