This is it people: the last episode commentary of Robin Hood (until season 2 anyway). The Saturday nights won’t be the same. How can we fill the gaping void left behind by Robin and his merry men (and women)? Well… I actually have some plans. But that’s a topic for another day.

Because now, it’s the SEASON FINALE OMG!

BBC announcer: And now the final episode of Robin Hood. Merry he isn’t.
Ahahahaaa I saw what you did there, you scamp you. *nudges*

Aha! I was right, it was the Sheriff shouting for Robin to “come out, come out where ever you are” at the end of last episode.

I am boogying to the credit music! Feeling giddy and so in love with my cracky show! *dances

The episode is called "A Clue: No."
*giggles insanely*

Sheriff is the love!

Much with a bow is awesome

Sheriff: “How many do you think are there?”
Guy: “A dozen or so at the most”
Ahahaha, oh Guy, he’s so serious in his completely wrong assessment of the situation. Military-tactics to the win!

Oh Much! Shouting at the Sheriff’s men, threatening to shoot. He’s so brave. He’s scared but he’s doing it anyway and that’s brave people.

John: “It’s a good day to die.”
AHAHAHAAA. John is a Klingon. This explains a lot.

Much: “What is that?”
John: “It’s a saying.”
Much: “I hate sayings.”
Oh Much.

Ooh Robin gets his vengeance on for good! Watch him charge in to the fight!

Sheriff (on his hands and knees): “Where’s my tooth? Where is it?”
*dies laughing* Possibly the funniest thing ever!

Robin keeps shooting people like there’s no tomorrow (well, he thinks there isn’t)
Sheriff: “Hood does not kill!”
Only now he does…

Am not sorry to see the physician die. He deserved it no question.

There’s a second wave! Guy may have a military brain after all.

How awesome is that fighting scene? I was breathless, I really was. And clutched at the sofa cushions so hard I left claw-marks.

Robin charges into the melee.
And much first to draw his sword and go after him, saying: “It’s a good day.”
*heart constricts painfully*

Djaq! Watch her kick some ass! Go girl, GO!

Robin and Guy exchange meaningful glances. I fully expected Robin to blurt out the news of Marion’s death. (Someone, somewhere needs to write a fic where she really did die, leaving Robin and Guy to find each other amongst their shared grief)

ALLAN! AND WILL! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!

Will fights like a pro. And Djaq is slicing up that soldier but good!

LMAO at the Sheriff thwapping Guy on the head as they ride away. “You cost me my tooth!”

Much falling on his knees after the fight… *love*

Awww, Allan want to lie about what they were doing, but Will tells the truth.
Allan: “What can I say?”
Oh Allan, we understand. You saw a chance to spend the rest of your life with a man you love and you took it. Good for you mate, good for you.
Tell me I’m not imaging the Meaningful Looks between Allan and Will.

Everyone is standing around Marion’s body. I really feel for Robin in this scene, the way he is trying to ask John to build a coffin but can’t quite say it and his voice keeps beraking… Kudos to Jonas Armstrong.

And Will crying… *snivels*

Much: “She was… she was…”
Allan: “She was alright.”
John: “Her we liked.”
Robin: “Her we loved. Her I loved. And never told her.”
Much: “She knew. We all knew.”

Oh god, this whole scene just fucking breaks my heart and then stomps on the pieces. And I don’t even care for Marion that much…

And then… Allan: “I’m not being funny, but she’s breathing.”

Hemlock! The trusty old plot device!

Marion return to consciousness: “Where have I been?”
Robin: “I don’t know.”
Someone write a fic about Marion in the land of the dead…

Aha! Sheriff reveals that the King is in fact an impostor. Classic, yet effective. I liked the point they made about how most people had never actually seen the King, because they wouldn’t have in those days, before the mass media.

The Sheriff is the win. And he gets to use his catch phrase a lot.

Guy has angst about marrying Marion based on a lie. I find this devastatingly appealing.

Sir Edward wants to fight finally: “We must forget the wedding and ride to Nottingham.”

Guy comes knocking: “Where is she? I knew she would not keep her promise!”
Oh Guy and your insecurities and your earnest, creepy love… Marry me?

Ahaha Robin’s in the ceiling! I fully expected Marion to give the game away and utter his name in her woozy state.

Guy: “Tell her I’m… Forget it.”
OH GUY! You’re excited about the wedding too? Sweet!

Awww Allan and Will forgot Djaq in the wooden chest and then help her out. Ding, ding! OT3 moment!

Robin: “I’m sick of doing the right thing!”
Oooh, get you, you badass!

Oh Much is there to comfort and listen and chatter and sit by his master….

Much: “Remember the times we used to sit up here. We use to look down to Locksley and say that there is no finer place in England.”
And had awkward but sweet teen-age sex?

Robin: “Guy is stealing my life.”
Much: “And you must let him.”
Much’s jealousy and frustration and fear and fragile hope is all so evident here, I could cry… Scrap that. I am crying.

Much: “We must let her go… When I say we, I mean you.”
Oh Much… I totally caught that slip of the tongue too. You want it to be just the two of you again, don’t you?

Much: “You’ll be in Locksley. And I’ll be in Bonchurch. It’s not that big, but big enough. People can get lost in there.”

And then… Robin smiles. And I just knew. I just fucking knew

Robin: “If you want to get lost, you can start right now.”
Much just blinks and then grins: “A smaller man would think you meant that and take offence. A smaller man would--”
Robin: “There is no smaller man. You are the smaller man. There is no one smaller than you. All you care about is the roof over your head and the food in your belly. And you speak every facile though that comes to your head.”

WTF ROBIN YOU ASSHOLE STOPITSTOPITSTOPIT.

He doesn’t.

Robin: “You’re like pox on my skin. I scratch but you never. Go. Away.”

I… Jesus. That was like a blow to the solar plexus, leaving me gasping for breath in disbelief. And the way he kept smiling throughout? Cold, man. Cold.

Also: MUCH’S WOOBIE FACE OF ULTIMATE HURT AND BETRAYAL… *weeps*
Much (pushes Robin hard): “You go away.”

NOOOOOOOO MUCH!!1
Robin you just lost all points, ALL OF THEM!

I mean… What just happened? I’m all confused and fragile after that scene and consequently miss some dialogue.

Marion confronts Guy about the assassination attempt. And Guy can’t lie to her. He’s not admitting to it but he’s not denying it either. And somehow Marion interprets this as proof that Guy did not try to kill the King? Where is your sense of suspicion woman?

Guy: “I have passion for you.”
*gibbers*
If I was Marion I’d already have Guy against the nearest flat surface and my tongue so far down his throat I’d be tasting his belt buckle. But that’s just me...

The obligatory angsty Robin/Marion scene (which admittedly wasn’t that bad)
Marion: “I think you’ve been wrong about him. You two are not so different.”

I liked the little hand throw of frustration Marion pulls there.

Marion: “This is goodbye.”
Ha! I liked the fact that Robin is calling Marion’s bluff and just walked out.

Much leads the others to join the plot. Oh how I love him!

Guy: “I have no family.”
Fic writers: Please to be addressing this at the soonest. kthx.

Guy being all introspective is hot. “Her purity will cleanse me and wash away my sins.” Uh-huh, indeed… Whore-Madonna complex anyone?

Wow. Marion sure looks gorgeous in that wedding dress. *ogles*

Oh god Robin’s angst. But he has lost all sympathy points with me. I WANT HIM TO SUFFER, OKAY?

And Marion is smiling…

WTF, surely Guy shouldn’t be there gawking at Marion before the wedding?
Guy: “I have dreamed of this day.”
Oh Guy, your love is sincere and so, so doomed.

The gang sports matching hoodies again, upon entering Nottingham. And Much sounds pretty bitter there…

But he goes after Robin, even after all he said to him. Run Much, run!
HOW IS THIS NOT TRUE LOVE?

Aha but Much has seen the king. And instantly recognises the impostor to what he is. Awesome plot twist!

Edward is giving a creepy speech… “Arrest Sheriff Vasey!”
Ha!

But wait, is it all part of the plot!
OMG, so simple, yet so brutally effective. “Go left to give evidence for the Sheriff and go right to give evidence against the Sheriff.”
And then the Sheriff kills them! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Robin is angsting alone while Much, bless him, actually does something about it!

Kudos for writer for keeping the Latin ceremony.

Oh god, the whole scene where Much rings the church bells, trying to stop the wedding. I was near tears, because he does it for Robin. This is like the epitome of the truth that if you really love someone you want to see them happy, even if it isn’t with you.

Much has moral grounds! He always does!

Much: “You must stop it, because…. Because her heart belongs to another. Tell them Marion.”
And he’s almost crying because she has what he wants and she’s throwing it away and I’m crying because Much totally has my heart.

Much: “M’lady, please. He needs you!”
And Much needs his master, his Robin, needs him whole and happy, needs it so badly that he’s willing to let him go. Oh god, I’m bawling now….

Marion (putting the ring on the ‘wrong’ hand): “The right is better.”
And then she wallops Guy! Ha!

Okay, okay, I admit that Robin swinging Marion into the saddle is sort of rousing. But mainly because she looks so incredibly pretty…

And again after doing all this for him Much is left behind…
Wait no he isn’t. But where the fuck did he get ahorse?

Yuck for the overly romantic kiss. There was no sense of climax there at all. Now, I’m not a big Robin/Marion shipper so my opinion may very biased. I would be interested to know what those who love the pairing thought of it, because even trying to be objective… it just seemed a bit blah.

Yay for Much bursting into the hall shouting “He’s an impostor!”

Commotion and fighting and…

OH NOES THE SHERIFF HAS MUCH (and clearly about 50% of all my plot bunnies, which start with a very similar scenario)

Will Robin rescue him? Well, yes he will, of course, but it says a lot that for a second there I seriously doubted it…

Much’s grin when he realises what Robin did! Hee!

Sheriff is hanging from the ceiling, shouting and cursing! *giggles hysterically*

Final class photograph… aaaand it’s the end. For now.

*flops bonelessly on the sofa*

Generally speaking I thought this was an excellent finale. There was angst and romance and plots and quips and awesome sword fights. Everyone was looking mighty attractive and had lines. I’m relieved we weren’t left with a huge cliffhanger, and the final picture of all of them thrusting their weapons into air was simply exhilarating (if clichéd).

However. And if you know me at all, you can guess what I’m going to rant about now.

ONCE AGAIN THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION TO ROBIN BEING AN ABSOLUTE BASTARD TO MUCH. I… I can’t deal with this people, I just cannot. I mean, does anyone even know what that whole thing was about? Yes, Robin was upset over Marion’s wedding, and yes, Much wasn’t exactly subtle in his insistence that Robin just lets it go because he loves him more and always has but it’s never been enough they need to save the King. But how is that any reason to completely crush your best friend? It’s not like Robin got really emotional and just lost it (like the last time he called Much simple and told him to fuck off, and oh wait, that’s twice now we’ve witnessed this emotional abuse and I’m calling the social services right now), he was just so deliberately casual and cruel about it and oh Much. And then, after Much had saved the fucking day (it was Much who took the gang to Nottingham, it was Much who figured out the King was an impostor, and oh yes, it was Much who stopped the wedding), he doesn’t even get an apology. Sure Robin saves him from the Sheriff (but one could argue that he’d do that to anyone) and throws in a little wink and grin, and apparently all is well because boys will be boys and Robin is such a rogue, nudgenudge. *tears own hair in frustration* THIS IS NOT ON.

Seriously.

I can’t even think about without seeing red. Otherwise the episode was first grade but this… I find it hard to get past the utter wrongness of how Robin treated Much and how it was just brushed aside like it was nothing. It’s not nothing, it’s Much! There needs to be tons of fic to rectify the situation.

***

That’s it folks. End of a very long and very rambly episode commentary. But I don’t plan to go anywhere. I have found the RH fandom and here I’ll stay *sits by the fire and ladels up some rabbit stew (well done)* You can expect to see me around the community, I have plans… Be afraid, be very afraid...

Ya know, i haven't seen an ep of this show yet but i always enjoy your commentaries on it so bloody much it's like I'm watching it for real.

As for Robin being such a bastard to Much, the first thought that came to my mind was the oft used and old cliche of hero being really mean to his/her best friend so best friend gets angry and leaves, which is what Hero wants because zomg they love best friend and want them to be safe!

But not having seen the ep i can't say for sure this is it. I know i have alot of issues with SGA with this very thing where JOhn someone is being a total ass to another character and then they all act like nothing happened at all.

Ha! I didn't even know you were reading these. But that's very cool and I'm all gleeful that I've sort of pimped someone to the show with just my insane ramplings *gg*

See, that "push the BF away on purpose so they're safe" scenario makes no sense here. There was no threat to Much and the only excuse for Robin' behaviour is... wait. There is no excuse. And yes, it grates me more that everything is brushed over like it was nothing important.

And had awkward but sweet teen-age sex? - this is why you win at life, just so you know.

I could cry… Scrap that. I am crying. - I think it's sake to say by now that a large proportion of fandom bust into tears at this point. In fact, that scene took me and broke me into tiny little pieces and now I am dead from the angst and will never recover. Oh Much.

And thus, the long wait for the second season begins. So, how does Hungary in the summer sound? :P

well yay, at least I wil at something *gg*

On oh god, that scene left me an emotional wreck. I was screaming at Robin. There was just no justification, only the piss-poor excuse of Marion's wedding but still... Like I said, it was so deliberate, not an emotional outburts but a slow tearing apart of Much's psyche. So. Wrong.

I'm sure we'll think of something to amuse ourselves whilst waiting for S2... And oh how I wish I had the means to scope out Hungary over the summer. If I win the lottery I'm taking the whole community over!

Marion return to consciousness: “Where have I been?”
Robin: “I don’t know.”
Someone write a fic about Marion in the land of the dead…

*jawdrop* omg. that... are we talking canonical land of the dead here, or are we talking strange shadowy hinterland with weird creatures and Marion's mother appearing out of the gloom?

Much: “Remember the times we used to sit up here. We use to look down to Locksley and say that there is no finer place in England.”
And had awkward but sweet teen-age sex?

... mmmm. In the grass.

Robin you just lost all points, ALL OF THEM!
I KNOW, RIGHT? I still can't believe Robin said all that. and it was so painful, the way Robin did it all smiling and whisper-soft, so intentionally hurtful. *sits and cries*

I liked the little hand throw of frustration Marion pulls there.
I was doing exactly the same thing, but with added dialogue. "Boy, I am going to hit you so freakin' hard in a minute!".

But he goes after Robin, even after all he said to him. Run Much, run!
HOW IS THIS NOT TRUE LOVE?

BECAUSE ROBIN IS AN ASS, AND IS DITCHING MUCH FOR A PRETTY GIRL AND SOME ANGST! D:

Oh god, the whole scene where Much rings the church bells, trying to stop the wedding. I was near tears, because he does it for Robin. This is like the epitome of the truth that if you really love someone you want to see them happy, even if it isn’t with you.
I kind of laughed at him ringing the bells, and then I cried, and... I love that he was screaming so loud that Robin could hear him. There was poetry there. and I love that he's doing it for Robin, because he knows Robin won't be there to save Marian, and he knows Robin will always regret it if he knows he had the chance to save Marian. If that isn't devotion, I don't know what is.

Okay, okay, I admit that Robin swinging Marion into the saddle is sort of rousing. But mainly because she looks so incredibly pretty…

And again after doing all this for him Much is left behind…
Wait no he isn’t. But where the fuck did he get ahorse?

My thoughts exactly. "aw, isn't Marian pret-- hey, wait, where's Much? oh, there he is. I didn't know he had a horse!"

OH NOES THE SHERIFF HAS MUCH (and clearly about 50% of all my plot bunnies, which start with a very similar scenario)
The Sheriff has already stolen all my plotbunnies in which Much is captured, manipulated, or otherwise threatened. He keeps them in a cage like with the birds, and sometimes squishes a few of them, or lets Gisborne hold one of them sometimes.

... ok, I seriously did not need the mental image of Guy playing with little bunny rabbits. "at least you understand me :]".

(like the last time he called Much simple and told him to fuck off, and oh wait, that’s twice now we’ve witnessed this emotional abuse and I’m calling the social services right now),
Dude, can we, like, adopt him?

There needs to be tons of fic to rectify the situation.
Already there. I'm trying to give it a happy ending. I'm not sure I can. The doomed inevitability of thier situation is starting to get to me.

I... I would be interested in either option. It's just that the "where have i been" was a very specific question, it wasn't "what happened?" indicating confusion but like Marion knewshe'd actually been in some other place.

BECAUSE ROBIN IS AN ASS, AND IS DITCHING MUCH FOR A PRETTY GIRL AND SOME ANGST! D:
*smacks Robin, and not in thegood way* He was such a bastard. There needs to be consequences. I'm seriously starting to think this relationship is abusive.

Also, this did not occur to me before, but the fact that the place where they had the conversation had meaning to them, where they first kissed and made love associated with happy childhood memories, must have made Robin's words all the more painful.

I love that he's doing it for Robin, because he knows Robin won't be there to save Marian, and he knows Robin will always regret it if he knows he had the chance to save Marian. If that isn't devotion, I don't know what is.
I still get teary-eyed just thinking about it. Oh Much, you brave, generous soul...

the mental image of Guy playing with little bunny rabbits. "at least you understand me :]".
LMAO only he'd train them to be like the killer rabbit from Monty Python!

Dude, can we, like, adopt him?
Yes, let's apply for joint custody.

And yay for fic. Happy ending would be great but I can totally appreciate that sometimes that just doesn't happen, no matter how much you try.

I… Jesus. That was like a blow to the solar plexus, leaving me gasping for breath in disbelief. And the way he kept smiling throughout? Cold, man. Cold. - Robin went insane here. I have no idea what happened to him.

He called Much simple and said Marian should embroider in the heat of the moment, and took them both back straight away. But this... like you say, totally cold, calculated and meant to wound. And there was no good reason. Robin was in pain, so he lashed out at Much. Viciously.

That was pure emotional abuse... he took every little insecurity Much is bound to keep hidden (he is a servant, afterall, and has never had any indication from Robin that he is actually welcome. And the rest of the gang keep digging at him, too) and used it against him. We need to beat Robin with sticks and take Much somewhere warm.

Obviously actually DOING something about his angst was not on the cards, and it took Much hanging on the bell and shouting to get him back.

it says a lot that for a second there I seriously doubted it… I had exactly the same reaction. My stomach lurched. I was convinced he would just leave.

He didn't exactly seem thrilled to be doing it. And does Much look like he's already forgiven Robin? This is not healthy, Much!

I don't want it to be over. Can I have more episodes now, please?

I have no idea what happened to him.
Me neither. It was just utterly perplexing. It's like you said; he's lashed out in anger before but this was a whole another level. He meant to hurt Much. And that is so, so wrong.

That was pure emotional abuse... he took every little insecurity Much is bound to keep hidden (he is a servant, afterall, and has never had any indication from Robin that he is actually welcome.
This is all true, I just kept nodding along. How could Robin do that? HOW?

I had exactly the same reaction. My stomach lurched. I was convinced he would just leave.
I... Someone needs to write this. It would be angsty as hell and I would bawl like a wee baby but I still kinda want to read it.

I just refuse to believe that Much has really forgiven Robin. He may be all smiley and exuberant now, in the aftermath of the rescue/battle, but inside...

Can I have more episodes now, please?
No. But you can probably have some fic. I have a feeling a lot of people will be writing like mad at this very moment.

Inside Much is a ball of wounded angst with no outlet because the one person he can talk to is the cause of said angsty ball. This will not end well.

Alright then, I'll settle for fic. Reading and writing it.

Oh, the unexplored pain... *goes off to explore*, heehee

Robin was under quite a bit of emotional stress when he said those cruel things to Much, not that it's a good excuse, but he'd thought Marian had died, then she wasn't dead but was still going to marry Guy, Guy who has taken everything else he had and Much was telling him to let it happen. Sometimes when you're that stressed out you switch off a bit and being cruel is the first response to anything. And you hurt the ones you love, you know?

I'd like to think that after they get back to the forest Robin takes Much aside and actually apologises - a rescue does not an apology make! Especially since Much did so damn much to sort things out for Robin.

See, I get the part about him being upset over Marian, I do. The bit that bothers me was they way he went about it. Like, it seemed too calculated to be just lashing out. But perhaps a bit of time and distance will broaden my outlook on this.

and being cruel is the first response to anything
I find this really interesting. Because for Robin it does seem to be. Other people may withdraw or ask for help but Robin goes for the jugular, not of his enemies' but of his friends'. I senses deep issues.

And you hurt the ones you love, you know? Very true.

And I like your scenario for the ending. This is what must have happened if there is any justice in the world.

The thing is after ten years with Much Robin knows him well enough that he doesn't have to put any thought into it at all, he knows exactly what to say to hurt him the most already.

I senses deep issues.

not in any sort of order::

Robin was such a complete and total bastard to Much OMG!! I wanted to reach into my screen and strangle him right there! And still Much does the right thing by Robin. At least he knows that Robin has a tendency to be a complete fucktard when he's upset.

I loved Marian's reaction to Robin leaving when she told him to grow up. That sweet little what just happened?! thing. :D

We deserved a better kiss than that IMO. I'm sure the writers felt like we had to have a kiss in there, and they probably couldn't figure out where to put it. That wasn't where. Really, if that was the best they could give us, they might have just left us hanging? I don't know. It felt a bit too much like a rock star kissing a random groupie.

I love how you randomly demand fics throughout the comments. :)

Will and Allan were SO going to run away together. Did they come back for Djaq? Are there going to be quarrels about Will telling everybody the truth about running away? Will there be passionate angsty makeup sex in the forest?

Poor Guy. It sucks that he really believes that Marian was somehow to be his salvation. What will he do now?

I'm going to miss this show while it's gone. I'm relying on you to let us know when it comes back on. hopefully soon. very soon.

see above, [livejournal.com profile] souliesoul pointed out how Robin does have this disconcerting tendency to become extremely cruel when faced with adversity (last time he lashed at Much, then at Marion, then went all psycho torturer on Guy). I find this both intriguing and disturbing.

I loved Marian's reaction to Robin leaving when she told him to grow up.
oh yes, that was priceless. Like she expected Robin to continue his pining and then he just went 'fuck this, i'm outta here'

Re: the kiss. Yes, there was no sense of 'oh, finally, sexual/romantic tension is resolved'. Also I find it reassuring to have my opinion validated by someone who actually ships this couple... I'm aware that my slash-goggles distort the image somewhat ;)

I love how you randomly demand fics throughout the comments.
oh that's nothing, I randomly demand fic throughout my life! *gg* Doesn't mean I get it though...

omg Allan's expression whilst trying to explain where he and Will were... Totally screamed: just finished having hot sex in the forest, still coming down from the pleasure-high

I think Marion running away with Robin so openly just broke every final bit of humanity Guy had left and he will now embrace his inner sociopath.

I shall keep my F-list posted on the S2 schedule. They're only filming this summer so I expect it'll return the same time next year as it started this.

Okay, this is not my thread, but I have to say:

You just gave me one hell of a S2 plot bunny. I mean hummonguous genetically enhanced bunny.

Really.

There is no bad in this. Please to be writing about Guy turning into a serial killer with a preference to dark-haired women and lithe young men.

Well I like serial killers as much as the next girl, but it will probably end up being Guy and Marian having wild!hate!sex in a barn.

Just 'cause I'm repetetive like that.

Darn.

WHEEE Kat, it's ended!! *flails* It can't end, my Saturdays are now useless and Much-less!

Sheriff is the love!

Major, major, major love! Adored how he kept using his little phrase all the way through the ep.

Sheriff (on his hands and knees): “Where’s my tooth? Where is it?”
*dies laughing* Possibly the funniest thing ever!

Even my cousin who doesn't watch it found this funny. I myself, was nearing *rofl*.

Aha! Sheriff reveals that the King is in fact an impostor. Classic, yet effective.

Did'ya see Guy's little 'omg why didn't you tell meeee' moment? Sub. *snickers* Poor Guy. He obviously really loves Marian (with a touch of the creepy 'wash my sins awai') and jumps to the worst conclusion upon not being able to see her. 'OMG SHE RANNED D:' Bless him.

Awww Allan and Will forgot Djaq in the wooden chest and then help her out. Ding, ding! OT3 moment!

Wheeeee~~~ I take what I can. :3

I mean… What just happened? I’m all confused and fragile after that scene and consequently miss some dialogue.

That was so cruel of Robin! I mean, after all that Much has ever done for him, and Much loves him so much and has, in his words, followed him 'into the forest of' all things (which we all know he hates) and yet still puts up with it- for him! And then... Robin... withthe pox sayign and- the evil scary smile OMG THAT WAS SO MEAN!!! D:

Clearly the man has never seen our force of Much fangirls. I doubt he'd treat him wrong if he knew the powers we hold.

D: I have to wait HOW LONG now, for the next series?! *weeps* I now need fic of Much/Robin, OT3 and copious amounts of tree!porn to console me. kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, i can't wait that looooooooooong~~~~~~~ EEeeeeE!!!

ZOMG I KNOW!!! We must find something to do on Saturday nights now! Could even try to have a RL social life... *blinks owlishly* If only I remembered how to do that...

Did'ya see Guy's little 'omg why didn't you tell meeee' moment? Sub.
ahahahahaaa, oh I so did! He is such a whiny puppy!

And the whole Robin+Much scene just broke me into itty little pieces. I kept wailing at the TV... I bet Djaq is a Much-fagirl! Wait until she hears about this... I want to see her having a proper go at Robin for being such an utter dickhead.

I'm right there with you on the angst about the season's end. What can fill the void? Luckily I have other fandoms to console me... And I doubt RH activity quites down too much... We'll have to make sure it doesn't!

Could even try to have a RL social life...

I fail at that quite badly. Asides from the occasion birthday meal, I live hermit-like indoors, blinking and hissing at sunlight... hmm. Maybe a little too far. Butbutbut, I saw a pub today. It was called ROBIN HOOD. HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Wait until she hears about this... I want to see her having a proper go at Robin for being such an utter dickhead.

"How dare you, Robin?! How can you treat Much this way?"

Robin began retreating backwards slowly, anxious to not provoke Djaq's rage anymore than it was at the moment. "Djaq, please listen to me-"

"What could you have been thinking? Calling Much the smaller man? You, Robin," she exclaimed, gesticulating with her arms wildly, "you are the smaller man."

"Djaq, maybe you should-" Never had words died faster in Allan than now.

"You called him a pox! A pox on your skin! Maybe it's alright for you to treat me differently because I'm a girl, but-" Djaq stopped, visibly trembling in her efforts to stop herself from lunging forwards to kill Robin. Or maim him, at the least. "But Much loves you." With that, she whirled around and walked off into the woods. After a moments hesitation, Will and Allan headed after her and left a very much guilty Robin with a rather subdued Much poking at the fire.

The moments that passed then were awkward and strained, something which had never happened before. Silence for the two had always been companionable, each knew when the other would wish to speak and had always been content to wait it out. This time, Robin was lost. He could not hear Much.

"I did not mean that." It was spoken quietly, with a thousand pleas of apologies hidden in the few words. Much then replied equally as softly,

"Yes, you did."

*tackles you to the ground and hugs you hard*

That was so awesome! THANK YOU! But the angsty ending *cries*! Very plausible though, because atm I just can't easily buy a happy resolution to this mess.

However, you should expand this a little bit and the post on the comm! DO EEEEET!

And a pub called Robin Hood is very cool (though probably not that uncommon)

Heehee, thankies!! At the moment, I see Much being all uber!hurt inside and really wanting to lash out at Robin for being such a bastard. No fluffy for Robin, cause he doesn't deserve it!

Maybe I should, maybe I should indeed! ^^

I was tempted to take a pic on my phone but refrained. Maybe next time. XD

Guy: “I have passion for you.”
*gibbers*
If I was Marion I’d already have Guy against the nearest flat surface and my tongue so far down his throat I’d be tasting his belt buckle. But that’s just me...

Nope. It really isn't just you. *note to self: write fic*

and Why Am I still Abroad!! Why! I want to see this is an big telly!

And Marion is smiling…

WTF, surely Guy shouldn’t be there gawking at Marion before the wedding?

Well actually during the medieval times the not seeing the bride would only be in place if it was an arranged marriage, and there would be fear that the groom would bolt at the sight of his bride. And I don't think there is any fear of that here >_~

Guy: “I have dreamed of this day.”
Oh Guy, your love is sincere and so, so doomed.

For this I will always live in my lala-land where they live happily ever after. And that's final! :P

This is good to know. Also: yay fic!

I'm sorry you coun't get a wide screen experience, but surely seeing it on computer is better than not seeing it at all...? Besides, our telly is tiny! and it still managed to convey copious amounts of squee and angst! Hee!

Well actually during the medieval times the not seeing the bride would only be in place if it was an arranged marriage, and there would be fear that the groom would bolt at the sight of his bride.
Aaah! Thank you for educating me! :) Medieval wedding customs aren't my specialty... I just thought it all seemed very informal, I was expceting more pomp and ceremony.

For this I will always live in my lala-land where they live happily ever after.
hehe, I find fictional la-la lands much better places to live than the reals world. There's more hot guys for once.

Correction: more NAKED hot guys. Or maybe that's just me.

And yes, It is actually quite frightening how much reserch I have done on medieval weddings. My life is tres sad.

Ooohh, I so can't wait to see this.

Dude! I love your reviews!

Marion return to consciousness: “Where have I been?”
Robin: “I don’t know.”

And then his "But I'm glad you're back." I was like, *THUNK, is dead*.

But Robin, you TWAT! He was so so so mean to poor Much, but argh! Goddammit! boy, I still love you. It's like this: I hate him for being mean to Much but I can also understand how he lashes out at the person closest to him. And I agree with whoever said above that although it seems calculated to us Robin's actually is just saying the first things that come into his head because he know Much so well. But I was most definitely all "WOO! GO MUCH!!" when he shoved him. (Does any of that make sense?)

Much is such a sweetie. It is a fact that cannot be denied or changed.

There is a way to resolve all this (at least in my head):
Just after they get back to camp Robin is indisposed of for some obscure reason that I have yet to figure out.
Much goes off, just disappears.
Robin comes back and after a while notices it's not Much cooking. Cue 'Where's Much gone?'
Someone, possibly Will or maybe Allan, saying 'He's gone.' (Allan can say this bit.)
Robin - 'Gone where?'
A shrug from all. Will - 'But he's taken his sword, shield and bow.'
Light comes on in Robin's head. Cue taking off into the woods - 'Which way did he go?'
Robin catches up with Much - 'What are you doing, Much?'
Much - 'What you told me, Master, I'm getting lost.' Cue Much thinking, "At this moment quite literally."
Cue Robin angsting - 'I didn't mean it.'
Much whirls round. 'Yes, Master, you did.'
'Didn't.'
'Did.'
'Didn't.'
*Thunk* Robin hits the ground, Much shakes his fist and then his head, kicks Robin's shin gently and then stalks off.

That's as far as I got. Sorry for rambling at you. Thanks for the lovely review.

*squirms* aaww, and I love you for commenting on them!

It was [livejournal.com profile] souliesoul and yes, after having calmed down (marginally) I'm sort of coming around to that explanation... a bit. I still can't quite wrap my mind around it. It just seemed so disproportional.

Ramble on please, especially if it involves such delightful little not-quite-ficlets. :) I loved the concept of Much just leaving (and then getting lost, bless him) and yay for him hitting Robin! And then walking off again! Because Much needs to stop letting Robin walk all over him and actually stand his ground. Lovely scenario you've written there... if only it was longer *hints*

He needs to tell Robin he's being a plonker. *nods*
I am planning on writing it up as a ficlet (at some point) but I need a reason for Robin randomly not being there. Help?

Is it just me or did Robin get meaner and meaner to Much as we got further in? Because in the beginning Robin was all I love you, as in your icon, but now, now he's all grr... *this is me shaking my fist as the petty boy*.

Yay for a ficlet!!! My idea would be that Robin went to see Marian (and Sir Edward) after the commotion had died down.

No, it's not just you, I think you're correct about Robin getting meaner and just less patient with Much as they time passed. Maybe it's the stress, maybe it's that he's just such a wanker, who knows...

I was so angry at Robin being instantly forgiven too. It doesn't make sense. I went on a huge rant about it to my parents. I don't think they were quite as enraged about it as I was.

Heh. Well luckily there's plenty of folks around here who can totally relate to your rant. And I agree, the way Much lets Robin walk all over him is a bit pathological... Robin has a lot of apologising to do, that's for sure.

John is a Klingon. This explains a lot. - *is in actual fits of laughter*

Will fights like a pro. - Bloody right he does!

Oh Allan, we understand. You saw a chance to spend the rest of your life with a man you love and you took it. Good for you mate, good for you. - That's the BEST way i've heard that scene being put. XD <3

Tell me I’m not imaging the Meaningful Looks between Allan and Will. - Oh no you ain't sister!

And Will crying… *snivels* - I KNOW! I was like clawing at the screen when i saw him crying, 'LET ME HUG HIM LET ME HUG HIM LET ME HUG HIM! Or at least let Allan hug him if i can't!'

And i completely agree with your lil' paragraphs at the end, brilliant ending but wtf! Robin's allowed to treat Much like shit and it doesn't matter?? Completely agree with everything you said.

And I just adored the Allan/Will interplay in that scene, they totally looked like they'd had some, er, intimate relations, fairly recently, all mussed up and a dazed eyes...

And the trauma of Much being treated like shit again has yet to recede... I need fic to fix this.. *goes on a hunt*
