kat_lair | Fic ideas and writing plan (Reply)

I feel I have neglected my Fandoms lately and while I have like gazillion fic ideas circling in my head I haven’t managed to find the enthusiasm to write them down. But I am working on it. There are several stories that I’ve started and am now finishing off. This is to reassure you all that I have *not* given up writing, a sort of a sneak preview to the coming months/year/lifetime/whatever. Plus listing them all may motivate me sufficiently to actually *do* something about all these plot bunnies.

So in order likely to be finished:

To Have and To Hold Down – Part 2
A Life on Mars fic for drunkenfop (currently over 500 words)

As of yet untitled McKay/Beckett fic for dark_cygnet (you know, for that thing we have going on. I’m about 400 words into it)

The missing sex scene for Taste of maybe – ekaterinn will be happy to know it is actually happening, progress at about 200 words

A plotty casefile story for the Life on Mars ficathon due in June, nothing written down yet but I got the plot in my head and know the whodunit.

Expansion on evil!Chris episode coda for Life on Mars – this probably won’t be too long. Unless I get carried away with it…

Apart for these I have at least two unfinished McKay/Zelenka stories on my hard drive. One is Christmassy with over 4000 words written but that probably won’t see the light of day until ‘tis the season to be jolly again. The other one is an ambitious attempt to explore Zelenka’s past but the 2000 words I have on it are only the beginning. It’s one of those that will require a lot of background research to do it justice and at the moment I just don’t have the time.

And these are just the one’s I have something concrete written down or at least plotted. My head is full of various other plot bunnies in different fandoms.

For example, I want to do something with Captain Jack from Doctor Who (and soon to be Torchwood) – don’t know what… well, that’s not right. I know what I’d like to *do* with Captain Jack but not quite what I want to write about him... Supernatural is trying to seduce me with its evil and wrong but oh so hot Wincest (I know it’s bad, I do, someone help me please). I have also rediscovered my love for Due South thanks to ITV3 repeats and dear Lord, RayK has some stories to tell. He keeps stalking my head, all twitchy and edgy and fierce.

And, erm, that’s it. I think. I hope. Words of encouragement are welcome. Feel free to gently poke me about writing, it motivates me.
