5 Times Neither of Them Said 'I Love You' and 1 Time One of Them Did by brbsoulnomming - Entirely awesome! And not nearly as schmoopy as the title suggests. Also includes my favourite fandom trope about Monroe marking Nick's place as his territory.
All the Time in the World by Kittycrackers - Sharing body heat trope with added almost bestiality. Surprisingly gentle and romantic when all is said and done.
Ask Me No Questions by laceymcbain - I love Hank and this provides good characterisation of him, following the clues to the most logical conclusion as he questions Nick about his relationship with Monroe. Funny and subtle, technically gen with heavy pre-slash connotations.
Gingerbread by entanglednow - Sex magic. Delicious and funny.
How Does Your Garden by entanglednow - See above except this time with sex pollen.
Incautious by entanglednow - Yes, I know. In retrospect I should've just gone through Sol's fics first because everything she churns out is quality stuff. Every time I get into new fandom and then realise she writes for it too (god I love multifandom authors) I get the happies. This has gorgeous tension and smart, on the spot, characterisation.
Of All by laetificare - Interesting villain/case, doesn't shy away from the bloody and horrible.
Phoenix Burning by ?? (orphaned work) - Canon AU where Nick is still a Grimm and Monroe is still a Blutbad except he also works as a fireman. And there's an arsonist bent on burning up Wesen running rampant in Portland... The premise has a nice romance novel feel to it, including Nick having many a swooning moment over Monroe doing his firefighter thing (and who can blame him). The case is also intriguing and well constructed.
Routine Makes The Man by ArkadianMouse - Canon AU with a premise that I would have happily watched a show about too. Nice h/c too.
shut the laundry room door by Menacherie - Awwwww my heartttt, this is all warm and perfect. Nick smells like Monroe. Nobody minds.
Surrender by Guanin - There is a lot I like about this fic, particularly the way Monroe's past means not everything is all roses and happy times in a new relationship.
The (Grimm and Blutbad) Book Club (for the Eager and the Doomed) by laceymcbain - Well Nick needs some reason for seeing Monroe on the regular. Pretending he's attending a book club seems like a good one. Until Monroe runs with the idea for reals. Delicious hints of pre-slash, left me grinning. Hank and Wu provide brilliant supporting cast here.
welcome, ghosts by somethingradiates - Meet Monroe's family. They're about as fucked up as you'd expect and the fic doesn't shy away from the sheer brutality of Blutbaden pack relations. Apart for the sex, this reads like something that could easily happen in canon.
