Today a diversion from spooky Halloween music.
I attended the funeral and wake for an ex colleague today, someone who was incredibly warm and supportive when I started at my current job over a decade ago, and who cared about her students, her colleagues, the discipline and the right to education with a ferocity that was as inspiring as it was admirable. She loved Händel and as was befitting for a woman of her station, her casket (wicker) arrived to the chapel accompanied by this classic processional piece.
So in memory of someone who touched many lives, including mine.
