I used to have a running joke with mates about half the problem with writing Pros sex scenes was just peeling Bodie out of his clothes. Hence this icon a mate made for me when I posted that I'd got him out of his clothe but couldn't coax him out of the shower. :D
I have this whole theory going about how men use clothing in pretty much the way armour functions (Harold Finch's clothing is very much a 'do not approach' sign) and how society at various times has used it to restrain any sense of 'animal' in man. Like the Victorians who managed to impose so many increasingly difficult layers of clothing on men that it practically 'neutered' them in appearance.
I guess I'm saying I tend to take particular note of when men are imposing this on themselves rather than it being a societal thing and why they're doing it.
I honestly think part of it is mates screwing with you by deliberately picking men they (also) read as dominant and then others who just lump all Kpop lads into the Cinnamon Roll category without really paying close attention to them.
