Thanks to sewn for bringing this delightful video to my attention. The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra has recruited their first foreign conductor; a Brit called Nicholas Collon (who looks like he's a Brandybuck or a Took which I approve). This is his introduction video.

This is HILARIOUS. I love how it's simultaneously "The bit in Eurovision where a country introduces itself", "Here are all the most Finnish things we can think of", and THE MOST THREATENING THING ON EARTH. Absolutely grand. And yeah, he looks like a hobbit, but he also looks like literally every Youth Drama Leader I've ever had.

I genuinely did a double take, the resemblance is so strong.
Lol yeah, don't blame you, a lot of the references are the ones that haven't exactly made it to the global 'Finnish stereotypes/tropes' list, especially the food stuff. But it was super funny to me. And good on this guy for going ahead with the wacky idea.
