Season's Greetings

Hope you have a season full of joy and peace, however you celebrate it.

It's been a very, very good year for me, getting my PhD and a job but I've been so busy this autumn with the move, said job, new house and everything that I haven't had a chance to really internalise the changes properly. And then yesterday, after finishing all the marking the previous evening, and coming back from the shop in the morning, I sat down and completely unexpectedly burst into tears, because I was living in this beautiful house in a seaside town and I had job that I loved and was qualified for and that paid regularly meaning I didn't have to count every penny any more and I had my kitties and family and friends. And it was Christmas.

And I was, am, happy. And so thankful, to be where I am right now.

I just keep thinking how stressed (and absolutely bollock crazy) I was last year this time, or even more so in March before the Viva, compared to how I am now.

Thank you for putting up with me through all of it. I quite literally could not have done it without you. ♥
