Hi! I'm reading this because it was nommed in the DiversiFIC awards...and I can't believe that I hadn't seen it before. It's just gorgeous! Two of my favourite things at once; Carson & Rodney and food...real food. Given Rodney's canon attitude to food (likes MRE's and airline food. Uck, uck, uckuckYUK!)this was very brave. But then Rodney's persona so lends itself to this; the whole *Diva* attitude, the arrogance, the berating staff with inventive language, oh it just works brilliantly! (Have you seen Lenny Henry's "Chef!" produced for the BBC? The funniest things were when he was yelling at his staff-unlike the current crop of celebrity chefs the F-word was never used. His command of English language was soooo much better than that. One of the few series which has had me howling out loud.) Sorry, I digressed. Loved the cameo Shep! Character voices were spot on and the dialogue *zinged*.And..."The smile on McKay’s face looked unused and bewildered, like it didn’t get to spend much time there." Oh god, if that was food it would be instantly addictive and hideously calorific. One grouse; "Le Gordon Bleu"? Were you having a go at Gordon Ramsay and his ilk? Did you typo Cordon Bleu? Or am I just overly picky? BTW, hope your friend M is doing better. Always felt that it was the person inside that mattered, not the packaging.
