Life on Mars Drabble: Attention

Attention – Life on Mars – implied Chris/Ray – PG-13
Prompt: Male strippers


“It’s disgusting!” Ray pulls his jacket tighter even though it’s sweltering inside the club. “Being gawked at, like cattle.”

Sam scowls at him. “You didn’t voice any moral objections when we were interviewing the female strippers.”

Chris tunes out the bickering, staring at the dancers, half-naked and doing things that he doesn’t even know the name for. The audience is riveted, their faces hungry.

For a moment Chris is jealous; no one ever looks at him like that. Sometimes he really wishes someone would, just once.

Because with the right set of eyes, Chris thinks he can understand the appeal.

I love this. Thank you so much. See in my mind at some point Chris will feel confident enough, or need it enough, that he will strip for Ray and Ray's eyes will be the right set.

He really does. See I have images of Ray making the first move but I also have this picture in my mind of Chris having a little too much drink one night and maybe saying somethign to Ray that gets Ray thinking.
I don't know. This is just reminding me of that very filthy bdsm LOM fic of yours that got me into so many things.

Oooh drunken!Chris would be fun to write... He'd be like draping himself all over Ray (who for some reason would be sober that night), all "you're a good man Ray! you have taught me so much!" etc.

Ah that faithful fic... If only I'd known when I was writing it... Life is a funny, funny thing.
