You guys, I’m in love. The kittens arrived on Thu night. And there were three of them. Now, don’t worry, I haven’t gone quite cat-lady-crazy yet; the third one was with us only temporarily and was picked up today by housemate B’s friend.

And then there were two. We have ended up with one boy (officially mine) and one girl (officially B’s) so the name decision is still up in the air. The personalities are already starting to show so we shall see… Girl is mostly calm and content to play and explore on her own. She also likes to pin her brother down and lick him from head to toe. Boy is a little goofy, will do naughty things (like scratching the walls) with wide-eyed innocence right until the moment you catch him by the scruff of his neck. He’s also a complete slut for getting his tummy rubbed. Both kittens enjoy chewing on wires (tv, dvd-player, setbox, laptop, modem, stereo… we have a lot of wires) and sleeping on top of the setbox (it’s warm… though I’m pretty sure there was something in the instructions about not blocking the air vents. Oh well.) Ugh, they are ridiculously adorable. *epic heart-pupils*

Less angelic when awake. Girl here destroying the magazine rack. She's currently sporting my white hairband around her neck. We haven't gotten collars yet and as the kittens are very similar we needed a quick way of telling them apart without having to peer under their tails every time.

Is that Virgin technical support? My setbox has an extra feature that I didn't order... Even Kerrang! Radio doesn't keep the Girl awake. When it's naptiems, it's naptiems.

No, they're sleeping downstairs. It's a long trip from upstairs to the litter box in the kitchen and they're still too young to make it if need be I think...

Oh I'm sure. I left all three downstairs yesterday night, sleeping. But by the time i got out of bathroom, one was waiting on the other side of the toilet door and two were already happily exploring my bedroom, all of them with a slightly accusing stare of "you left us alone!"
