Holiday day
Jul. 8th, 2019 08:17 pm***
I had today off as annual leave (as I realised quite late that I had several hours left to use before end of August and thus needed to spread them out) which has been nice though fairly uneventful.
I'm wondering whether making some kind of 'summer to do' list would make me feel better or not. Pros: lists always make me feel better. Cons: depressing to see all the things I should do and then not achieving them. Pros: soothing. Cons: will get overly ambitious. Pros: feeling organised. Cons: displacement activity.
I'm also wondering what to post about for the rest of the month. I mean...

- Did some laundry
- Washed dishes
- Had a smear test (ouch, but the nurse was very nice and quick)
- Mended some clothes
- Re-organised my jewellery and perfumes
- Went to see Men in Black International at the cinema. Was entertained, though not overly impressed. I liked the dynamic between H and M, and Emma Thompson as O was excellent.
- Skyped with mum
- Been idly writing a Good Omens ficlet, though I think it may turn into a longer thing, we'll see
- Watching Atomic Blonde on Netflix

I'm also wondering what to post about for the rest of the month. I mean...
- Ficlets as I write them, yes
- Writing updates re my two longer
fandomtrumpshate projects (currently at 1k on the first one, which is SGA McKay/Lorne)
- Photos once I get to Finland
- Oh, maybe actual photos of my new house? As I'm going to tidy it up a bit before leaving anyway
- Fic recs. May do another round of Kat Recs All The Things, it's been several years and I've read a lot of good shit
- Something else? Suggestions on a postcard...
