Another show that I really got into this year was Community. I mainlined all seasons of it within a couple of months, and predictably fell hard for Abed/Troy because BFFs and pillow fights and neuro-atypical characters and all kinds of other diversity, and Drematorium and and and ughhh so amazing.

Community

Applied Social Consequences of Group Dynamics - Troy/Abed. The days before and after Troy leaves. This is both amazing and heart=breaking and utterly realistic in portrayal of what it is like when you want someone to stay just as genuinely you want them to go.

Eleven Ways Trobed Didn’t Happen (Or One Way It Did) - Troy/Abed. Exactly what it says in the tin. Each scenario is lovely in its own way and true to the characters. Number 7 is probably my favourite. Or number 2. Although 9 is awesome too and... Yeah, love all of them :D

Five people Abed loses, and one he doesn't - Abed/Troy. What it says on the tin basically. Abed characterisation is great in this and it’ll break your heart and then fix it.

Five times Troy didn’t tell Abed he loved him, and one time he did - Troy/Abed. Ties closely to various episodes so make sure you're relatively fresh with canon to get the most out of this. Achy in the best way, and the ending is perfect.

Homoeroticism in Science Fiction Television - Troy/Abed, various other pairings, sort of... In which Troy and Abed RPG some of the great slash pairings in genre TV. Awesome on several levels.

Impressions - Troy/Abed. In which there are Buffy impressions and resurfacing of wiped memories. Short and sweet. Plus I would love to see Abed do a Buffy impression!

Investigative Romantic Calligraphy - Troy/Abed. Writing on skin and flouting the conventions of the genre! Awesome and the first is one of my best loved kinks as well.

I Try and Just Kick It, but What Can I Do? - Troy/Abed. In which there is star gazing, Deep Questions, and some scary realisations. I love Troy’s voice and characterisation in this.

the first nonwhite men to make it to the end - Troy/Abed. In which the Zombie Apocalypse episode gets a more realistic ending. And Abed and Troy are there to see it. The fic takes an episode twists it from horror-genre-piss-take right back to horror-tragedy. Awesome, painful.

The Tauntaun Solution - Troy/Abed. Sharing of warmth and mortal peril (and Lucky Charms) will get you every time. Immensely enjoyable read.
