For today's Carpe Diem challenge I have...

Created: A first instalment of a Craig/Bruno drabble sequence (no regrets, Craig and Bruno's Great British Road Trips was basically fandom trope wonderland) - I'll post the complete thing on DW too but for this week all instalments will be on AO3 only (literally no one except pushkin666 cares about this pairing and that's fine with me)

And now the Squee! Wasn't sure what to post here, but since deerna used a painting, I thought I would too. This is Charles Mengin's Sappho (1877). It's currently housed at the Manchester Art Gallery and it is one of my favourite paintings of all time. I go visit her every time I'm in Manchester and I have recently dropped a lot of money for a A1 print of the painting to put on my very own wall. I love how unapologetically pissed off she looks. Tits out and glaring, what a queen.

Aww, thank you! I don't know if you'll get a chance to see that series but if you do, take it. It's ridiculously tropey, like there are picnics and swimming and wrestling and nicknames and innuendo and... I really should do a pimp post, shouldn't I?

I'm very happy about having a copy of Sappho on my wall, just need to find a frame for her.

The Road Trip was a gift to us all. I loved how much fun both Craig and Bruno were having and how they genuinely seemed like good friends.

I've been enjoying all the paintings linked for the challenge, and I like this one too. SO much power in one hard look.

As people who have shipped Bruno and Craig for many years and committed some extremely questionable and self-indulgent fic about them, pushkin666 and I have been overcome, to the point of wordless screeching, with shipply tropes that series is throwing at us on screen, in addition to all the potential of off screen road trip shenanigans (there was only one bed, anyone?).

She is judging you and your life choices for sure, I love that attitude.
