Today Finland celebrates its 100th year of independence. I have had the day off to both wallow in the nationalist pathos, home sickness, Sibelius, candlelight, and also last minute party preparations.

I have cried a lot but they are good tears.

Loved the vid! And with one of my favourite composers, too (well, yes, I knew he was Finnish so I should have expected that). I wore blue pants and a white top Wednesday and Saturday and thought about you. Hope the party was a great success and we expect to hear all about it!! (Plus - still wanting the quiz...)

Wasn't it lovely? They did a longer version on the tv-broadcast with more shots of nature and celebrations from the year that had be bawling like a baby :D
