Bandom Double-Drabble: lest it come true

This one is for [livejournal.com profile] pushkin666. The pairing and warnings pretty much cover her prompts, so haven't included them specifically in the header info. Hope this is to your liking, babe...

***

lest it come true – Bandom – Bob/Patrick – R – warnings: dark-fic, non-con

When Bob regains consciousness, he’s tied to the kitchen chair. Naked. There’s bitter chemical taste in his mouth and for three blessed seconds he has no idea what’s going on.

Then he sees Patrick, crouched in the corner, flipping a switch-blade between his strong fingers.

Bob wants to believe this is a prank, but knows with painful certainty that it’s not. Cold sweat springs over him in a nauseating rush. He swallows, the rope around his neck tightening with the movement.

“Wha— Patrick, what?” The words come out thick and slurred.

“I don’t like it when people think I’m weak.” Patrick gets up, voice mocking: “‘Patrick’s young, Patrick’s innocent. Poor ickle Patrick, he won’t understand.’”

Patrick crosses over and straddles his lap, jeans scraping over Bob’s unprotected groin.

And god help him, Bob’s getting hard. His body can’t tell the difference between Patrick, his friend – the one who sleeps on Bob’s couch, eats his cereal, and who Bob has wanted for-fucking-ever – and this stranger with Patrick’s face and a knife pressed against Bob’s.

Patrick leans closer, whispering: “But I do understand.” His hand wraps around Bob’s cock, wringing a helpless whimper out of him. “I know just what you need.”

OMG. Well my first reaction when I knew you'd written it was to squeal. Silently I hasten to add as I was in a taxi and the driver might have swerved.

Then when I started to read it the reaction was - Guh.

I really love dark Patrick and the fact that Bob wants Patrick makes it worse.

And Patrick getting pissed because people think he's weak - *shivers*.

Then he sees Patrick, crouched in the corner, flipping a switch-blade between his strong fingers. The scary thing is I can see this in my mind.

And the last line...

So happy sigh and did I mention that I really really love this. Thank you.

Silently I hasten to add as I was in a taxi and the driver might have swerved. - ahahahaha, this made me laugh so much. Your squeal can be quite startling...

And 'guh' reaction is entirely gratifying. I'm really pleased you liked this, enough to gush and quote... *shuffles feet*

And Patrick getting pissed because people think he's weak - well, like I hinted, Bob isn't the first one to make that mistake...

I'm sure my squeal isn't that startling is it ...?

Heh. And I totally nwo want to read where Patrick showed Pete that it wasn't a good idea to think he's weak.

No, no, your squeal is adorable... Really!

Well, we'll see if the inspiration strikes... Maybe you can convince me about this in Scarborough... :D

I shall definitely do my best to convince you.

*revives*

More, you say? Hmmm... maybe... But have about umpteen other drabbles to write first. :D Really pleased by your reaction though!

I don't know why I read your dark!fic over my morning coffee because I don't like dark!fic at the best of times... but it's very well done (sort of V&A dark!fic?) and I suppose I ought to know how my friends' minds work??

[identity profile] kat-lair.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, well I'm flattered by the compliments and slightly concerned for ruining your morning beverage... But fear not, there is romance and fluff and happy times coming with these drabbles as well!

I suppose I ought to know how my friends' minds work?? - ahahaha, at your own risk?

[identity profile] pushkin666.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Morning coffee is the best time for darkfic. Possibly a good thing you didn't read her fic before she lived with you *g*

[identity profile] moth2fic.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think it would have put me off, exactly - just made me wary of things that were actually called dark!!

[identity profile] pushkin666.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
*laughs* Well there is that.

[identity profile] desfinado.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
I love this dynamic, people thinking Patrick's weak, people thinking Bob's strong, and it's exactly when those roles reverse that they both feel like themselves, both feel turned on. <3 Beautiful!

IDK, been on a bit of a dark-fic kick lately... Thank you for reading and commenting, glad it worked for you. I think the obvious thing here would've been to go for Bob being the one to pin Patrick down despite his protests (because sometimes the size difference is really what matters), but as soon as I got the prompt I knew that this was the direction I wanted to go. Because Patrick being a little unhinged, a little evil and unpredictable is hot as fuck.
