Ahaha, how did I know that yours would be some kind of cat? (Mine was an ocelot. I think our daemons should be friends!). I have to say, Thaleron suits you quite well.
Now that is one cool website. I got an Ocelot called Apollonius. He's cute.
I'm looking forward to the film in quite a tense way... I really hope they don't mess with it too much, although I know that kind of thing is inevitable. So long as it's good on its own, I'll probably be fine.
I hope Mrs Coulter is as scary as I imagine her, at least :P
A lot of people on my f-list have gottens some sort of felines, which doesn't surprise me much considering the type of persons drawn to lj/fandom/online life... (and of course I daemons should be friends!)
Mine was an Ocelot too, though I was scared for a while that it would be something ridiculous like a sheep or an ostrich. I'm still debating whether I should read the book now that the film is all imminent.
Oh and your new icon is so ridiculously, painfully true that it needs to be bronzed or something.
Seriously? Wow. Although, I saw a group of people on somebody's friendspage this morning who all had insect daemons, so I think it's more a case of the type of persons who run in certain LJ circles...
*imagines all the cat daemons playing together* *smiles a little*
hehe, I was all "I'm not a butterfly, I'm not a butterfly..."
I would recommend the book unreservedly and plan on rereading before watching the movie myself.
Oh and your new icon is so ridiculously, painfully true that it needs to be bronzed or something. - isn't it awesome? wiccanslyr iconised it from one oh my earlier posts and I luffs it so... I keep saying this to everyone but my ambition is to have a t-shirt with that slogan on it. Oh, and also the t-shirt I saw a while ago that said "All tied up and no one to blow". Whether I could actually wear either anywhere is a whole another issue of course...
I've seen the butterfly, a few spiders, a bird, most of the rest were all cats.
It is a fantastic icon, and seems to apply to most people in fandom...and my current WIP folder.
It's sad but true about the clothes though, you can never wear stuff like that in Tescos or wandering round the petshop. Though on the plus side you could plan a day out around your clothes rather than the other way around.
I would have bee seriously freaked if my daemon would have been a spider! Let's just say that the only way me and spiders get along is if I don't see them...
My current wip folder doesn't have so much porn, but a lot of heavy angst and "serious writing" stuff *deep sigh*
Though on the plus side you could plan a day out around your clothes rather than the other way around. - this would be great. With the two t-shirts described above I could plan a fan convention, meet-up with all of my online friends, and a night out in a gay bdsm club. Er. Or something.

I need to reread the books before the film, just to freshen my mind. It's been some years since I read the series and the details are a bit hazy...
