awww I love it! The idea of Sam finding meaning in his new life is one that I really enjoy, and I'm glad you've explored it in this fic. My favorite bit was the last one. I like how you describe the atmosphere at the Railway Arms, and how you portray Gene and Sam's friendship. I'm not at all about the Gene and Sam slash, so I enjoy seeing a fic that shows them as close friends in their own way.
